چې وَطن ماتم ماتم وی
او پۀ هر يو کور کښې غم وی
چې بارود وی لۀ اسمانه
او دَ زمکې لاندې بم وی
چې پۀ شونډو بس ژړا وی
سترګې هم ډکې لۀ نَم وی
چې دَ ګلو پۀ موسم کښې
دَ ګولو،ډزو موسم وی
باجوړ،وزيرستان کښې
هم پۀ سوات کښې محرم وی
نو زۀ به داسې اختر څۀ کړم
چې بچی مې قتل کيږی
مور او پلار مې ژوبل کيږی
سَر سجدې له چې ټيټيږی
پرې بمونه راوريږی
ربه! کله به سحر شی


چې زما غريب اختر شی

pukhtanay mianday os ghulam ibn-e-ghulam zegawee
da abaadali jalali khawra ajeeba khabara

اختر

زما دوطن پېغلو ته ډالۍ يې دي راوړي
اختر يو بنجاره دى خوشالۍ يې دي راوړي
د ستورو ستارې به پېغلو جونو باندې وېشي
يو شرنګ به شي لمنو ته پاولۍ يې دي راوړي
دچټو سپينو پېغلو په ټټر به ځونډي زانګي
وږمې لري لونګ ګېډۍ ګېډۍ يې دي راوړي
دروايې خلئ پکار به شي ددنګو ښکلو غاړو
د سپينو مر غلرو غاړکۍ يې دي راوړي
دلرې وطنونو مساپر يې سره ټول کړل
باران دى د سين غاړې ته هيلۍ يې دي راوړي
ځوانان به سره وکاندي د مينې مجلسونه
عامره چې وختونه د ځوانۍ يې دي راوړي
