Ik naar pe jaan ko Har gaya , mash'hoor hai uss ka afsaana

Uss naar mein aisa roop na tha , jis roop se din ki dhoop dabbey
Iss shehar mein kya kya gori hai , mehtaab rukhey gulnaar labbey
Kuch baat thi uss ki baatoo'n mein,kuch bhaid they uss ke chitwan mein
Wuhi bhaid ke joat jagaatey hain , kisi chahney waaley ke mann mein
Ussey apna banaey ki dhun mein , hua aap hi aap se begaana
Iss basti ke ik koochey mein ik Inshah naam ka Deewana

Na chanchal khail jawani ke , na payaar ki al'harh ghaatein thein
Bus raah mein unn ka milna tha aur phone pe unn ki baatein thein
Iss Ishq pe ham bhi hanstey they , behasil sa behasil tha?
Ik roz biphartey sagar mein , na kashti thi na sahil tha
Jo baat thi in ke ji mein thi , jo bhaid tha yaksar anjaana
Iss basti ek ik koochey mein , ik Inshah naam ka deewana

Ik roz magar barkha rutt mein , wo bhaadoon' thi ya sawan tha
Deewar pe beech sumandar ke , yeh dekhney waloo'n ne dekha
mastana haath mein haath diye , yeh aik Kagar pe baithey they
youn Shaam hui phir Raat hui , jab Sailaani ghar laot gey
kya raat thi wo - ji chahta hai uss raat pe likhein Afsaana

Haa'n Umar ka saath nibhaaney ke they Ehad bohat Paimaan bohat
wo jin pe bharosa karney mein kuch sood nahi , Nuqsaan bohat
wo Naar yeh keh kar door hui - " majboori Sajan Majboori"
yeh wehshat se ranjoor huye aur ranjoori si ranjoori
uss roz hamein maloom hua , uss shakhs ka mushkil samjhana
iss basti ke ik koochey mein , Ik Inshah naam ka deewana

Go Aag se Chaati jalti thi , Go Aankh se darya behta tha
har aik se dukh nahi kehta tha , Chup rehta tha Gham sehta tha
Naadaan hain wo jo chairtey hain , iss aalam mein deewanoo'n ko
uss shakhs se aik jawab mila , sab apnoo'n ko baigaanoo'n ko
"kuch aur kaho to Sunta hoo'n , iss Baab mein kuch mat farmana"

Ab aagey ka Tehqeeq nahi , go sun'ney ko ham suntey they
uss Naar ki jo jo baatein thein , uss Naar ke jo jo Qissey they
ik Shaam jo uss ko bulwaya , kuch samjhaya bechaarey ne
uss raat yeh qissa paak kiya , kuch kha hi liya dukhyaarey ne
kya baat hui , kis toar hui ? Akhbaar se logoo'n ne jana
iss basti ke ik koochey mein , ik Inshah naam ka deewana

Har baat ki khoj to theek nahi , tum ham ko kahani kehney do
Uss naar ka naam maqam hai kya , iss baat pe parda rehney do
ham se bhi soda mumkin hai , tum se bhi jafa ho sakti hai
yeh apna bayaa'n ho sakta hai , yeh apni Katha ho sakti hai
wo naar bhi aakhir pachtaayi , kis kaam ka aisa pachtaana?
iss basti ke ik koochey mein , ik Inshah Naam ka deewaana

Farz karo hum ehl-e-wafa hon, Farz karo deewane hon
Farz karo ye dono baatein jhooti hon afsane hon
Farz karo ye ji ki bipta ji se jor sunai ho
Farz karo abhi aur ho itni, aadhi hum ne chupai ho
Farz karo tumhe khush karne ke dhoonde hum ne bahane hon
Farz karo ye nain tumhare sach much ke mai-khane hon
Farz karo ye rog ho jhoota, jhooti preet humari ho
Farz karo is preet ke rog main sans bhi hum par bhari ho
Farz karo ye jog bajog ka dhong hum ne rachaya ho
Farz karo bas yehi haqeeqat baaki sab kuch maya ho

Is can be noted how beautifully the contrast is embedded in every couplet. In first line the thought is expressed beautifully but in the next line of couplet has altogether a contrast/opposite flavour of previous line.... and forces the reader to think...... What if....???
