charagh lay k terey shehar sey guzarna hai
yeh tajarba bhi humain aik baar kerna hai

main woh pahar hun jo cut raha hun pani sey
yeh dil nahi hai merey aansuoun ka jharna hai

merey aziz main utri nadi main kia utroon
mujhay charhay huye derya ko paar kerna hai

bohat jadeed hun lekin yeh mera wirsa hai
usi qadeem gali sey mujhay guzarna hai

tumhain khabar nahi suraj bhi aks hai mera
tamam din ka mujhay intizam kerna hai

woh aik shakhs k jis ko ghazal bhi kehtey hain
usi k naam sey jeena, usi sey merna hai
