Why some members of the forum say? "Contact me through email."

Well I don't see any harm in sharing or contacting someone through E-mail.
This is the greatest forum for CSS aspirants, no second thought but it has limitations, such as no chatting facility, sharing material is problem, and its not possible to discuss few things openly (when you can't even delete at later time).
I myself contacted one serving PAAS CSP and got some guidance, there are other examples such as that of Naveed bhai, when he literally helped hundreds of people through that method.

I am really amazed to see the objection. A person has even many email IDs and also made for specific purposes like one for this,the css forum. And when ever one gonna need notes how would he/she get them?. Few Email Ids are not 'private' but 'public' like that of a Uni Professor and of a student.

Plus it's an email Id, not the FB id or private contact no. Thus is the safest way to get notes.

If our seniors won't send notes to female members or v.v. it would be unfair.

Our seniors are our teachers and teachers should teach all alike. And they surely do it here.

Plus I've seen many seniors how positively and with hard work are they helping. Thus this is a 'National Academy' for CSS aspirants.

Even in Universities the teachers often send notes through email to 1000s of students, male and female. It's the safest and easiest way to do it.

Make your 'public email IDs' and get and send notes, that's just a medium. It takes 2 mins to make an ID on gmail.

You have already apologised but I do want to say a few words.
First of all its a very narrow thinking that if a person ask a female for email its seen as objectionable but if its the other way around its perfectly alright. I have seen female members asking more for email rather than male.
I do have many problems with how the cssforum works it has flaws of epic proportions as compared to the other forums but one has to do so with the resources available. There is no PM option on cssforum (personal message) which is absolutely crucial for forums as such. There is no editing options of a post. Once a post has been made you lose the editing capability after an hour.

Coming back to asking for emails. Even if one do ask for an email ID what is wrong with that. How can you precieve what are his intensions. Anyone who have joined this forum at sometime was a newbie/stranger. The amount of information excahnge in 2 minutes online voice conversation may take days if done same in the froum. The amount and with the promptness with which the queries get answered over a phone/fb/Skype/whatsapp/physical world Interaction is much much higher. If a respactable female feels harrased by some person she can complain to the mods with concrete proofs and ban the person.
