It means that starting BASIC PAY will be Rs. 16000 and then other allowances will be added in it.
Rs. 1200 is increment which will be added on every 31st December.
Your maximum pay will increase only upto 40,000 after adding increment every year.

are we supposed to send all the certifications ; character and medical certificates, surety bonds to them by post before 28th feb?
that is what i inferred from the letter?

YES, we are given 15 days. we have to send these documents before 28 February. If we donot send this, then our candidature will be cancelled and then waiting list candidates will be issued letters.

Character Certificate?? I dont think characted certificate is required? Is it mentioned anywhere?

What is the procedure for getting medical fitness? Do we have to get the lab tests done by ourselves and submit the reports to mentioned medical board centers OR do we have to go to medical center and they will do the test themsolves?
