Well I said that written marks are going to be decisive once you reach the interview stage....So it means that after you clear the psychologist test....For instance, if NAB intends to call three persons against one seat for interview Than the top three scorers would get the chance provided that they have cleared the psychological test...Even in Interviews higher scorer stands a better chance of qualifying as it has already been mentioned by some Col from NAB in a news article that 'merit of written test will not be disturbed' and If anybody whose merit deteriorates after interview performance will be forwarded to the Chairman for further review... Meaning that written test marks are important...
Dear I am telling what I am being told by someone in NAB. Written marks have their respective weightage but remember written score is a 'part' of the selection process. Written marks put candidates in the psychological stage and psychological stage rejected half the candidates and maybe even more (Which will be evident soon).

High scoring candidates have worked hard and deserve what they worked hard for nor am I taking that away. All I am saying is higher score doesn't 'Ensure' interview letter in NAB. Some will get it and some won't. I can understand that some people who achieved 70+ marks were definitely disheartened to know that there will be a psychological stage and that it was equally important. Some among those were thinking that 70+ deserves a seat directly which unfortunately didn't come true.

By the way, Goodluck to everyone

I think we are on the same page but reading different lines.......BTW did someone in NAB told you that half or even more than half of the candidates have been dropped due to failure in psychological test? Or did he just said that half of the candidates are going to be rejected for the interview? Because there is a lot of difference between the two statements.

Default NAB Interview Schedule

Dear All
It has now been confirmed that Interview schedule will be issued by NAB very soon, most probably the interviews will be started by Mid October.I have confirmed it through the Reliable resources inside the NAB.
And secondly all those who have qualified in the Psychological and Integrity Test will be called for interview and there is no such criteria of number game of above or below 70% marks .
The interview list has been determined on the bases of aggregate marks of both the tests and against each seat four candidates who are obviously very close to each other in the two test aggregate marks ,will be called for interview .And also those who have received called for the submission of domicile will be definitely called for interview .So a candidate who had not get number one position in both the test among the four shortlisted candidates may get high marks in interview and has an opportunity to excel in interview.

Would it not be useless to call the candidates for interview who scored lowest marks in written. How can a generalized written exam be so important that it may override every thing.I have my personal experiences of appearing in govt jobs.i was among st the top scorers in written all over Pakistan but was not selected after the interview.in another i was on 67th position after written and there were only 27 seats almost half of them belonged to Punjab for which i had to compete but my interview was exceptionally well and i got 9 th position all over Pakistan.

so i just wanted to make a point that interview makes a lot of difference. imagine any interview carries 50 marks and each member of board has 10 marks in his hands. One candidate gets 60 marks in written and scores 40 in interview the other gets 70 marks in written and gets 25 marks in interview.Just calculate who goes ahead, only by a difference of 3 marks by each members. In exams like this usually there are 3 candidates falling on each aggregate score.

I hope I did not confuse you.
Best wishes.

I think it is incorrect to suggest that everyone got a source in NAB. On the other hand it is also imperative that officials in NAB are the people living in this society. They are fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, friends and acquaintance. Secondly, they are not living a secret life that no one can have access to them.

Coming to the second part of your comment, telling about the expected date of the interview is not any way tantamount to a compromise on secrecy or question mark on bureau's credibility. I got many sources in NAB too; from an employee at the lowest echelon to the most senior officers in hierarchy. But they have never told me anything but an official version that anyone can find out by making a phone call to the HR department. NAB is very sensitive to the secrecy and always goes extra yard in maintaining the confidentiality of information. Whether it is investigative record pertaining to the corruption cases or details of hiring, NAB maintains standards of professionalism mandated to it by NAO-1999. I remember in 2009, there was a lot of hue and cry in the newspapers that record related to corruption cases is insecure and gradually destroyed to erase the evidence against the bigwigs. But what NAB did in preserving the record deserves a resounding applause.

Just received a call from a Islamabad number. He said that if you are not sure whether you submitted the domicile for JIO's post or not then you should send it again otherwise you wont be considered. He said NAB people are preparing result and it will be declared pretty soon. ( Means he was not from NAB :O ) And
he further told that we are calling everyone just to remind them. Do not know this everyone is for all those who appeared in psychological test or who cleared the both tests.

You do not confuse at all. I think interview will play a decisive role in final selection. It was MCQs paper. Many candidates with 40 accurate answers with 20 out of rest of 60 correct guesses in the written test reached the psychological test. If they qualify it, the interview will be a real challenge for them. The interview will transpire many things. Barring the divine help, only competence and talent will be the key, no guesses will work.
