You can try for 2nd time but right from the beginning, as a fresh candidate...
There are only 2 chances to apply if you are failed at any stage...
In case you reach the final interview and you got "RECOMMENDED" then that means you chance is not wasted. If ur name is not in final list after commendation then the next time you will apply, you will still have 2 chances...
The chance is vanished when someone fails or get not recommended.... If you get recommended Everytime, You can apply 100s of times... As I was told from selection center

You cleared everything in 106 but could not manage to get yourself in the final merit list, so did you take intelligence, academic and psych test in 107?

Yup, I took all the tests again.... I cleared all the tests and interviews three times, in 104, 106 and 107... but managed to be there in final merit list this time in 107 Alhamdulillah

So this time they favored you just because you were applying since 104? or did your interview go well this time? I guess after clearing all the tests, selection is mostly based on final interview, if they decide to bring you in, then you are in. Right? Tests are just formalities which every candidate must fulfill to reach to the final interview? These tests do not weigh more in bringing you in the final merit list? is that so?

Well, I appeared in interview thrice but this time it went best and I was pretty much confident this time... At the time of interview, they made it clear that we have only 2 seats for the discipline I have applied and if I am at 3rd place in the merit list then they can't do anything about it, although they wish for me to get selected this time..

What I can assume is that they gave me good enough marks in final interview as it went superb this time and also it was my 3rd time recommendation.... And as 70% of the weightage goes to final interview, so that resulted in selection...

ya CMB and ISSB have 1 year validity... Initial test has 15% weigtage so u have to appear in the initial test again... Moreover I asked AHQ for any kind of favour they can give me in initial tests and they replied with a letter stating that "We encourage your efforts but we regret to inform that no favour can be given however you can apply in next batch as a FRESH CANDIDATE, as and when advertise"

So it seems to be obvious that the next time one has to repeat the whole process

What did they ask you in interview and how did you respond? Like they ask me to introduce myself, my family and about their occupation and education, about my educational career with grades. I did it in a well manner and i was confident. Then the other person started to ask me questions related to logistics i answered all of them and all of the answers were correct. i know this because i took couple of supply chain courses and i have job experience which is related to logistics too. he also asked me about my job and position of job, nature of job...

then third person asked me how many provinces are there and who is the governor of gilgit baltistan. i answered this one too.

he asked me which one is greater 3/4 or 5/6, i thought for a while, did my calculation and said 5/6. he asked me how?. i said 3/4 is 75% and 5/6 is 83%. he said right. then he asked me if a train is traveling with a speed of 120khm/ hour, how much distance will it cover in 26 minutes. i thought for a while and answered 52km.

then he said ok you can go now, and wait in another room, you will be informed whether you are recommended or not. then an interviewer came to me and said you have qualified this interview and gave me a form for CMB..

during my interview i was confident and i made proper eye contact and answered all of their questions, but i was not even in the merit list...

i have completed bba honors in marketing and mba in marketing..


What could go wrong as per your thinking????

Most of the questions you mentioned here were asked from many of the candidates.... And actually there is no problem with the answers and the interview...

I was the last candidate to be interviewed and they interviewed me for almost 45 minutes... They told me that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the interview I have cleared twice before this time... The actual problem is the number of seats... As I mentioned earlier, there are a very few seats and for most of the times the merit position varies with just a few decimal points... As everyone here was assuming that they have called 32 candidates called for CMB, so there must be at least 15, 16 seats... thats not the case... The number of seats is very limited... It might be 6 - 7 seats or may be less.. Hopefully u can be called if someone fail to report on the joining date, and if not, you can apply in next batch and in interview u will have an edge and you can tell them that u were already recommended in 107 and that gives u some plus points...

I've been there also but until now no information. Does anybody know, are they done with recruitment? I called PAF office in the first week of April, no result was announces until April.

Brother have u called AHQ to inquire ur status on the list,,,?
bcz as fr as ur interview is concerned u might be on Standby,,,ur answers are correct ,,,as far as ur confidence and expressions are concerned,,u know better what was happening there...
point is,,, i think u might be on standby,,and brother 2 of my close friends were of same case in one Course,,,but were selected in the second,,,so don't loose hope,,it is true that One has to start right from the beginning in the next course ,,but Commitment and determination is what required here,,

Yeah, i called at AHQ, and they said, "You are not in the merit list". I was a little amazed because i thought my interview went well and i am not even in the merit list but i am not dishearten because i know i did what i could do and final merit list is not in my control. I ll try next time with more efforts.

by the way i was informed that if you don't have contacts (sifarish), it would be quite difficult to get selected in airforce, i don't know how much true this statement is, but if any one has any idea about it, please share.
