I called this number 0519206341 and the guy told me that he has no info about the closing merit of Kp or FATA but the letters have been issued..fingers crossed..!!

After the Final Selection the candidates will go for 6 months commando training which will be held at Islamabad, after the completion of training they will posted you anywhere in the country...

There is no physical training in IB. In six months training you have to attend basic intelligence courses like counter intelligence, surveillance, field intelligence etc. The main work of IB is to collect information not to fight with terrorists and they have no arrest powers. IB is intelligence agency not a law enforcement agency. To arrest someone they have to get help from local police. Even in ISI there is no physical training for civilians because for commando action there is Army personals who come in ISI on deputation. AD and above of ISI have arrest powers. There is a clause in IB appointment letter that you have to serve anywhere in or outside Pakistan.
