Formula will be as follows:

Number of seats x 30 candidates. If there are 60 posts of Excise Inspector then top 1800 candidates would be shortlisted for written test. Percentage marks of each certificate and degrees would be counted and then divided on number of degrees. In this way they will get a mean percentage.

For example:

If a candidate gained following percentage marks during his academic career:
Matric = 60 % marks
FA/FSC = 65 %
Graduation: 63 %
Then this would as follows: 60+65+63 = 188 / 3 = 62.67

I hope you understand the formula.

This is total non sense.i guess this decision will be revered once they realise their folly. If this system somehow prevails then this would be considered another insane step of this state towards a failed state. In our country democracy exists on paper only as the decisions are autocratic and often taken in isolation without keeping in view the disparity of the masses. People who are ruling us through government or chairmanship like PPSC are the product of western style education and the are so cut off from the general gullible masses who have been nurtured in state schools with low grades.

i agree with your point and already mentioned that often our decisions are made with taking into consideration the ground realities. This decision should be reversed and ppsc will have to as it not in favor of majority. Rather it is a harshp step by a public depatment against the public.

Default File a writ petitions

File a writ petition is final solution against this cruel policy,mostly jobs like excise and taxation announced 4 to 5 month before and the take decision at that time after 5 month,totally unfair.

Default Bizarre criterion

PPSC just love settling everything in premises of court, age, qualification and so on. Major reason behind this is they so desperately lack vision and foresight, because at the end of the day it is PPSC that is made to eat the humble pie, at least past experiences proves this.

What they are good at?

In first place they invites applications (thok k hisab se), make money, (khud be khaty hain aur concern department on whose behalf they conduct exam for recruitment, unko bhi hkilaty hain). Then all of sudden they enlighten candidates that policy of concerned deptt has changed and they cant go ahead, leave candidates in limbo (e.g.Tehsildar exam episode).
Now again in this case, all of sudden rationality and wisdom have revealed upon PPSC that 1:30 formula should be applied but, believe me, PPSC has a very weak case. Had they included such conditions at the time of publication of add, it might have been a difficult story. Good luck PPSC.
