And I guess he would not know and care about YPIP because that comes under SBP-BSC, something that is part of SBP but is controlled separately and has its own departments and stuff unlike SBOTS which is purely SBP job and is dealt by SBP's HR.

i am from hyderabad and have got 75 marks . i haven't yet received interview letter. i have a question, do they further shortlist qualified candidates? because i have done my bachelors in engineering(electronics), since only bachelors was required to appear in ypip-test so I was allowed to sit. I don't know whether they will call me for interview or not, because visibly I dont have any connection with banking in my educational career. i just want to ask do they make shortlisting in qualified candidates list?

Please Clarify if you are asking about SBOTS or YPIP? Both are Entry Level jobs and both needs only Bachelors.

The Interview letters for SBOTS are not issued yet.

And the YPIP interview process is going to start from 27th Decemeber for Karachi Center. Lahore and Islamabad centers will follow later.
If you are confused about further shortlisting, there is no clear stance from the bank so you should directly contact State Bank HR as there isn't much time in the process to start.

And I am not sure about Electronics Engineering specifically, but I do know that State Bank has computer engineers working in it, so I expect that it wouldn't be much problem.

*If your query is specifically about YPIP then you should follow the "YPIP-interview process started" thread, hopefully you will get better and more accurate reply from concerned candidates and seniors.

yes I am asking about ypip. i have asked my question in that post, no reply yet. interviews in karachi are starting from 27 and yet i havent received any call or letter. I am very much worried. i am afriad if they have crossed my name just on basis of my degree or something. I came to know about interviews yesterday and much to my chagrin its a holiday today and no one is picking phone.

Dont worry and panic, you have a whole working day in between today and 27th to sort it out. Today is official holiday so don't waste your energy in calling or worrying. Tomorrow is the real deal, so you ll have to contact the SBP and clarify the issue.

You can call the HR deptt directly if you got the phone number, if not then try the SBP main helpline to reach the concerned deptt: Phone: 111-727-111.

Thanks everyone for your help. Received my interview letter today. interview date: 31-12-2012 and timing: 1.30 p.m. in karachi. They are going to hold more than one GD sessions, and if anyone has not got letter until now should not worry because he will be adjusted. There is a boy on the forum who told he could not receive letter so it was returned back to SBP and then they phoned him for interview.

we will have to bring original as well as attested copies of the following documents as mentioned in my letter:

a) SSC/equivalent certificate and mark sheet
b) HSC/equivalent certificate and marksheet
c) Graduation certificate and transcript
d) Post graduation certificate and transcript (if any)
e) CNIC
f) Domicile Certificate
