Jahangir's World Times monthly Magazine is a good stuff. Actually in this subject, there are a few things which are necessary that you must know them, while the others are prepared significance-wise necessary things are: 1.major world organizations 2.pakistan's relations with its neighbours and with U.S and Russia 3.current international hot-spots, if any etc and the selective things are: 1.as 2014 is approaching, you must know about the significance of the exit of U.S from afghanistan. 2.Energy crisis 3.Inflation 4.Terrorism etc Just grab more and more knowledge, because during paper you would be required to mold your knowledge according to the questions. Don't take much tension about this subject. it could most probably neither give you above 55, nor below 35.. just do your best, and in the end, don't forget to study latest notes of reputable academies, they would be launched in Feb's beginning. Good luck

Don't quit newspapers altogether, often read editorials and sometimes the headlines on hot topics. 20-30 minutes for a newspaper is more than enough. but read world times monthly, regularly. these are the things which you have to continue till the end. And you may leave this subject for now. that would be no problem. but in the end, don't forget to study latest notes + last year's notes of any reputable academy. ok. delay this subject upto the December, or even January/Feb. no problem. Be productive and result-oriented, divide your time among your subjects according to their scoring potential. EDS deserves the most. Anything else? Post your other queries, if any, i will surely answer them after returning from gym. Take care.

When i was in Lahore i visited 3 academies, The Officers academy, The Toppers academy and The Competitors academy. The Officers ac: is very well renowned nation-wide, but i chose The competitors because there were only 10-15 students/class and i don't like crowded class rooms so it suited me well. So, choose anyone according to your personal liking because, My experience says, ALL ACADEMIES ARE SAME!! Its you who make the difference. The only major difference comes in their notes. sometimes, some academy in some subject makes notes better in some way than the other, while some other times some other academy in some other subject... so, purchase them after browsing through them all Study plan for current affairs: dear, if you continue with reading monthly magazine, editorials and headlines (sometimes), in the end, there would be hardly anything left for studying, most probably except some world organizations like SAARC, ASEAN, OIC, UNO, EU etc. so, study latest update about them in the end, don't go toooo deep into them, just you should know major facts and figures related to them, sometimes a comparison-type question is asked e.g ASEAN vs SAARC etc. + purchase latest notes of 1 or 2 academies at the end of january and just give them a thorough reading in 1 week.. and that would be more than enough. Actually, you should know that in current affairs, examiner is more concerned about your personal opinions and analysis, and most of the times you know the answer even if you have not read it, just you need a few facts to put into the answer + good expression. So, your inborn talent will help you more than the mere notes. take it light Quote:
so, there is more than one month

@werewolf
Sir one more tiny question =)
How did you prepare for the Synonyms and Autonyms? It's a 20 marks question and when I try to solve it on my own, I can only make 2or 3 correct (I mean out of 20) Plus do you think it makes an impression on the examiner and rest of our paper will be marked accordingly ?
