you mean repeaters have more chances right?

They will have some advantage and its upto them, how they utilize their experience, but we all know that there are few, who learn from other's experiences and with hardwork and luck factor, they get success.

What advantage would a 26 year MBA working in corporate sector have over a 21 year young graduate ? NONE
The only experience which matters is related to CSS. So a 21 year with proper guidance will have an edge over 26 year old MBA with no guidance.
Hence age has nothing to do with it, but any related experience will get you an edge, and it is like a universal fact in all aspects of life, nothing much to discuss.
and of course second and third attempters will have experience due to past exams. But such experience can be gained by attempting past papers in real exam scenario and getting them checked from expert of that subject.
Moreover detailed analysis of past papers, marks trend, examiner remarks on papers, will give you "know-how" .
The point is that instead of thinking you are overage(26,27) and lack experience, just try to gain "experience by other means" and attempt CE with full determination.

Well CE-2013 was my 1st attempt and got my top presference in my 1st attemt so in my personal view qualifying CSS is dependent upon variety of variable factors. As this thread is discussing Age factors so in my view one should take xam when ever he/she thinks he/she is ready for it .I have seen people getting allocation at younger age in their first attempt.Don't waste your 1st attempt just to gain experience, you have as much chance of allocation as any SO- called experienced guy has .Repeaters may have acquired few tricks in their bags from their previous attempts, but 1st timers are armed with zeal and greater enthusiam for their exam.Oldies may have learnt what is important and what isn't but 1st timers possess innovation and fresh ideas. So, it doesnt matter whether it's your 1st or last attempt, just give it your best shot:-)

Unhappy

i have a question regarding this topic.
I m ACCA Affiliate i was working in a pvt firm. then i got job in Auditor General Pakistan office in 2018. i thought about css after joining this job and now i m preparing for CE 2020. my date of birth is july 1992. people here are saying that 25-26 is best age for first attempt but i m giving my first attempt in 27 to 28. is age really matters? obviously my 3rd attempt will be 29-30. i m very disappointed.
