Self done is well done work leading towards discoveries ,inventions and technological revolutions .Renaissance of civilizations is proceeded by discoverers ,writers , innovators and intellectuals .The self worker are independent over circumstances knowing how to deal difficult situations and get achievements. Dependent persons can not find ways to find solutions of problems unlike hard workers and thinkers .[B][COLOR="DarkGreen"]Aristotle said,’ Man is a social animal’’.[/COLOR][/B]It implies man is dependent on others. Reliance is good because it bonds the members of particular society. However, it should be restrained for productivity of individuals.Because It enables oneself to survive in bitter circumstances.


Jaber bin hayan ,Bo Ali seena,Ibn-e- Nafees ,Iman Abu Hanfia (R.A) ,Umer khyam and many others had brought the renaissance of Islamic civilization whereas Edison,Newton ,Samuel Johnson and others are precursor of Modern English civilization.All positive changes evolved in societies of self workers.The only constant is change ;so civilization survived and sustained by them. The Holy Quran also lights on this theme describing man earned wages by dint of his hard work is a friend to Allah. The rule of moderation is applicable in all the institutions of government; family,politics,economy and religion. It forbids extremes in a particular system ,also applicable to each and evey individual of society .Islam has given rights to each individual according to his /her responsibilities.So one can enjoy freedom in limits.West has given undue rights to individuals which has caused social evils.These evils not only destroyed bodily health but leads towards spiritual death. Hazrat Ali (R.A) had taught his subjects that one should restrained between these two extremes . He ( R.A) remained contented through out his life and never aimed to get more and more wealth or power . In fact ,greed ,lust are evils leading towards other sins like murder ,fornication and devastation of community .That's why ambition is considered a moral sin.

As man covers the phases of development, his curiosity to know more about the world also increases. It is this curiosity which has lead man to the present state of advancement. Man has discovered unseen treasures in such places which were unimaginable to be accessible in past. Man is anxiously trying to pave ways to populate mars while his inner self is still deserted. As man discovered the world and even reached to the space, he left his self far behind. In modern era, we are well-acquainted with the outer world but are strangers to our own self. It is a dilemma because the real discovery is the discovery of the self, which is often ignored. One can uncover immense spiritual beauty and supernatural mysteries if he peeps into his inner space.
We should first introduce ourselves with our inner self. The worldly success is material and cannot impart happiness to our inner self. Great philosophers, mystics, and Sufis have stressed upon discovering the self. The poet of the East, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, has introduced the concept of 'khudi' i.e. conscience and he wanted to revitalize the lost status of humanity by discovering the self. Socrates, the great philosopher of all time, says “know thyself”. We are hollow beings if we don’t know about ourselves. Material things can give material benefits but inner contentment and peace is possible only if we know about our self in detail. So, instead of drowning in the river of discoveries, we should dig our own character, explore it and build upon it to seek real self-actualization.

This proverb of Wordsworth means that a man is the product of the child. The developmental stages impact the personality of a child and can be witnessed from the child’s behavior when he grows up a man. The qualities, understanding and behavior developed in childhood flourish and are displayed in the grownup’s personality.
The examples from history clearly prove the application of this maxim. Many great men of past, who changed the course of human history and introduced new horizons to the greatness of humanity, displayed their unique character in their childhood. The nobleness of Holy Prophet P.B.U.H), the valor of Shivaji, the aggression of Hitler, Nepolean and Clive, and the curiosity of Newton are some of the attributes which distinguished these men in their childhood. These attributes groomed up and polished with age and became a prominent feature which distinguished these men in the world.
Hence, the legacy of childhood grows with the growth of child. Although man keeps learning throughout his life but keen significance should be levied on the growth of child’s character in childhood because it is the most critical phase of child’s development which has far-reaching consequences.
In the long run, inborn talent and natural aptitude emerges and distinguishes the man in the sphere in which he has that natural bent since his childhood. Parents should be seriously concerned to determine the child’s natural inclination so that he can be directed in the right way to build upon his natural talents and prove successful.

Although Pakistan is currently facing overpopulation problem but it does not mean that it is going towards its end. Nations face multifarious problems but together they work for towards the solution. Government as well as every single citizen of Pakistan has to play its own specific role to bring about a positive change. Though the task is difficult and time consumer but not impossible.
