Sure why not dear...
Actually both the words" allow",and "let" are right...but what i wrote here is suggested by most of the senior teachers and books also..
When we say" let me go" that means k we can go but we are saying that " let me go" why we are saying it because we are asking for his permission.the word "let",simply we use in terms of permission.
Like in our book exploring the world of eng page no 487 there is an example...
Najma said to her companions," let me go on with my work please".
Najma requested her companions to be allowed to go on with her work.
Now this was what they suggested but if we use "let" here , which we can use, then sentence will not be as complete and suitable as with" allowed"
In the same page there is another example..
The headmaster said to the peon,"let this boy come in"
Actually headmaster is allowing here to let him come in...
So there are two ways , we write which is suitable according to the sentence.
In the above example i"ll suggest to write "let" which is suitable.
The headmaster ordered the peon to let that boy to come in.
Or
The headmaster said to the peon that the boy might be allowed to come in.
Apka be method thek ha but teachers usi ko prefer karty jo suitable ziada ho.

Regards!

In imperative form we use a suitable verb.
The selection of the right verb is the essence in this imperative form.

@Seher Bano :let is usually followed by a noun or object pronoun, and then by an infinitive without "to".While 'allow' is followed by a noun or object pronoun, but then, it takes an infinitive with "to".

Dear, good effort. But, can you elaborate why have you used the word further in order to connect two sentences in each case above? I could not find an example of it in Sadaat's book. Please either make me correct or fix your ones...!
