we have uptill now just discussed the length wht about the other requirement of the paper i mean it waz written to include argument,exposition ,----------dont exactlly remeber but the techniques of essay writing.i think they are more important than the mere length so wht have u all done for that in paper?
as for as i m concerned to be v true length k chaker mein i really dont remeber k mein ney paper mein likha kia hai .

well I have written on , terrorism as a new threat to the contemporary world,
and outline was
1-A new threat---terrorism
2-War on terrorism or war for terrorism
3-causes being ignored
4-sectarian terrorism acts as recruiting place
5-nuclear proliferation and the threat of terrorism
6-the nine-eleven -- a pretext to impose new world order and pludering of resources
7-not related to a particular religion
8-need for defining
9-war against islam or clash of civilizatios?
10-causes need to be addressed
11-policy of ,live and let live, is necessary to counter the threat

I discussed the threat under the above headings,which is leading to an unsafe and insecure world, Flawed policies to counter it and magnitude of threat after nuclear proliferation etc etc.... i wrote about 1200 to 1300 words. let see what the examiner thinks about that

well luckily for me..i took a proficiency course in my last semester of BS in which our Professor taught us all these type of essay writing..so i was able to take care of dat..i think!!..aside 4m this i didn't use any headings as i dont really like to use them in an essay..but i do think dat the examiners wud definitely take into account da writing style..

i forgot to mention that i didn,t use headings but discussed the topic using the aforementioned points in the outline.

hum nai tu topic attempt kiya hai woh tha " the image of islam in the western world and responsibilities of muslim ummah".start aisay liya kai bataya islam aur christianity kai old confrontation kai baray main yani crusades,spanish invasion waghaira ...phir islam aur christianity ka difference,religiously,socially,economicaly,politi cally,culturaly..phir hasb-e-riwaiyet 9/11.phir role of muslkim ummah,us ki responsibilities aur phir conclude.
abb paas karta hai tu sahi,warna meri cursing forces tayaar hai.

i attempted the same topic of the "image of islam in west and responsibilities of muslim ummah"but i think i attempted it differently
i mean i start wid the recent clash of west and islam then the image of islam then the true spirit of islam then the forces working against islam (bent on blackening the image of islam)the centuries old rivalry between Europe and Islam then the role of muslims (thier weaknesses in distorting the islam)my point waz tht not even muslims have truely understood the true spirit of islam then the responsibilities ki baat hoi
ofcourse the role of media, need of muslim reliable media to convey the true teaching of islam and its softer image,unity of muslims role of oic and agey yaad nahi but -------
so ab kia khiyal hai about my essay ??????????

hmmm...........i too attempted the same topic, "image of islam in west and responsibilities of muslim ummah".
i started my essay by going into detail about the negative image of islam and the reasons behind it...........this included everything from the crusades uptill now(i hope)..............then i started writing about the muslim ummah and its responsibilities...........i tried to include everything in this from the oic , the true spirit of islam to the responsibility of each and every muslim...............couldnt complete 5000 words though..........guess i wrote about 3400-3500.............ab agay checker ki marzi...............agar na hua toh meri bhi curses tayyaar hain
