@ aspzia

umm! I guess they allowed you to bring that paper with you. But here, in Islamabad it was strictly checked that no student has any paper on their clip board. Not even the question paper of other subject was allowed.

Smile Making outline of each question

Dear Seniors

It is really nice to hear about your experiences. Your experiences give us motivation as well as the loopholes to be covered.

Would anybody tell me that can we write something on the back side of question paper? I am asking this as I can analyse the things (SOMEHOW) but I need to make an outline first to better create better relation among events.

Would anybody plz guide me.

No rose! you are not allowed to write anything on your question paper except for your roll number. Still you can do the rough work on the last page of your answer booklet.
Yes always make an outline for your answers, (in the rough work first) I always did that. That makes you analyse where you are heading. And yes that saves you a lot of time, you would realize that when you would be having 30-35 minutes to attempt each question.

Default Dear 2010ers!

Can somebody tell me if it is so with all of you, as it was with me?

i appeared for css-2009 and css-2010. I have noticed that there is a severe lack of time. You hardly have time to plan or prepare an outline for answering a particular 20-marks question! I always finished the (30-minute) MCQs within maximum 15 or 20 minutes so that i get time to decide which questions to answer and how much time to spend on each answer! Usually you have so much information to write and so little time that it is rarely possible to write everything!!! This is a big issue! You seee you have to explain every thing you write! you cannot just write one word and move on as we do in making notes at home! At most places i did extremely bad handwriting due to lack of time and had no time to reread the answer paper. You almost get no time to change the pen you are using from one kind to another or to use blanco! I wonder in how many sentences, due to lack of time, i skipped words and made the sentence unintelligible! I can now only pray to God and wish this did not happen! In so many questions I had to depend on assuming examiner to know somethings already without me having to explain everything!!

i wish somebody could comment!!

Lolz! yea you are right, but you see MCQs normally don't take more then 15 mins, rest 15 mins could be easily utilized to give questions a through look. and see this is again a test of our wits- managing time, penning down only the relevant data. I never say i knew answers to all the questions (hardly everyone knows) but some how you know 4 to 5 questions in all (sometimes more). Now decide for which questions you can attempt well (make a quick decision, thats not tough) pen down a rough outline (important stuff- now this is were we are competing)

And 1 thing I did (I don't say I am right or wrong, just think logically). If you have lots of point under one heading don't write paragraphs that would consume a lot of your time, so use bulleted list instead (of points and figures and whatever)

yes sherry.j, i actually NEVER know the answer to all 7 questions. The first questions i attempted in extra detail, and the last ones in extra brief and to the point!

Besides, in sociology paper, in one question, in place of bullets i made stars as bullets, i pray to Allah may the examiners dont consider the stars as symbols and cause trouble!

I mark all mcqs clearly on the question paper! but probably that is not a very wise thing to do

dear you're right and dont worry at all
its not a big issue, it happens with every candidate, no one is aristotle here to think that logically about each question and time management, it needs a bit of aptitude and quickness of thought...thats it.
As far as, the 2nd point about giving stars or bullets to the last question, is concerned, then let me tell you it happens with almost every 2nd candidate
because of the reason, that you attempt the most authentic question's answer at the very start and then you come downward slowly depending upon the volume of your knowledge and info regarding questions.... it happens that last questions do not get exactly worth what they deserve, its wrong but it happens....
