Default Inefficiency and Injustice of FPSC

I was really hurt like many others after not finding my name in the list of css 2010 successfull candidates. At that time, I was really wondering which paper will be the culprit... As my all papers went good... Finally, I came to know that I have been failed in essay... totally unbelievable... as it was my best attemp... I did every thing I could to add colors to this paper... I wrote 20 pages... wrote quotations... given supporting arguments... no single cutting was there... my writing is very good... I made paragraphs... logical connection between paragraphs was upto mark... I even proof read... I did what I could... even then..... yes even then I failed....

In 2008, I wrote essay on topic on which I didn't have much knowledge... I wrote 14 pages... it was not upto mark as far as I know... and I passed it...

Now, what is the standard or criteria of marking essay???????? FPSC please define it... I am sure you cannot define it... as you also do not know about the criteria....

We, the aspirants of css burn midnight oil and then take exam.. then wait hopefully for good result but on the other hand FPSC has nothing to do with it... I would like to say... "wo churi chlatay hain jis ki gardan pe aa jay"
The result of unsuccessful candidates is a clear example of this... what happened with optional subjects this time especially accounting, histories and journalism... I am unable to understand that a candidate who gets 169 in history paper in 2009 how can he get 74 in 2010. How many students in accounting this year got low score even there paper was excellent... I gurantee if some of these papers are checked by some other person, he may give 150+ in these....

Candidates scoring 80+ in composition are failed in essay... if their english skills are not upto mark how they managed to get huge score in composition....

how a subject can be high scoring in one year and low scoring in the next...
It means its just the discretion of paper checker and FPSC has not given him/her any guidelines to mark paper.... or I would say FPSC has given him/her license to kill....

I am really dishearten not only by my failure but many others with whom FPSC has done injustice....

Please FPSC use some criteria to mark papers... make some standard which is universal, consistent and transparent... please do not play with the fate of many aspirants... please end this injustice.... please FPSC please........

some may disagree with my feelings... but this is my personal view.

i totally second you and i am ready to go court with you, so atleast the aspirants get what they deserve, last year my friend in 2009 got 60's in journalism, and this year 2010 he had 18 mcqs correct and he fetched only 28 marks, only 10 marks out of 80 marks, is this a joke or what? a candidate passing the composition paper but fail in essay is aanother joke.. come on fpsc whats wrong, stop playing with our careers and the aspirants who work day and night to qualify this exam, end this injustice, lets file a petition in the court, lets challenge FPSC otherwies they wont listen, danday ka zour hai yahan is mulk mein, dont let ur voices be gagged we have to fight the vices of the society and this is not an exception! END THIS DRAMA and set a consisitent MARKING PATTERN WHICH is equal for every candidate.

my heart also weeps like yours.

i got 34 marks in islamiat.

and last time i got 55 marks and this time i was expecting around 60 marks and last time it was my worst paper.

i cant understand the marking criteria .

about the essay.

its totally unpredictable.it depends more on the mood of the paper checker than that of the student.

same is with my papers of physics.

i got 128 marks in it and was expecting 150+

in first paper i got 67 and i was expecting 65 at maximum and in second i was expecting 85 min and i got just 61.

i dont know what went wrong.'
i am still confused about my future as u r.

but dont worry and try to gather urself up.i hope and wish to see u in the top ten of the next exams

best of luck

i second u that we should go to the court for the rechecking of our papers.

i am waiting for my dmc to arrive at home.
then first i will contact fpsc for the rechecking of islamiat and physics.
if i don't get any relief from them i will consider the option of going to the court.
but i have one thing in mind that i really want to share here.

why do people fail in islamiat when we have a non-muslim head of the fpsc?

it may sound very racist but its a reality .can anyone explain me if i am wrong ?

then y there is so much failures in islamiat in his time.

may be wants to prove that we dont have enough knowledge of our religion.

i remember when there was the case of chief justice he went to a hindu yatra.

and writing naats shouldn't be the criteria for an unbiased nature.

Dear Brother:

This is not first time in FPSC history that candidates have suffered in Islamiat. You will find many more examples of failures in Islamiat in past too. FPSC is constant in one thing i.e. changing marking trend in different papers in different attempts. Islamiat has remained a risky subject in past too.

FPSC targets at least one paper in compulsory each year, sometimes Essay, sometimes Composition, sometimes EDS, and sometimes Islamiat.

Islamiat paper of CE-2010 was challenging one as compared to previous three years.

yeh i know that u are right.'

let me tell u when they targeted islamiat.

it was during the exams of 94 95 and 96.

my brother is from 25th common and at his time islamiat was the prime target of fpsc.

whatever the case we cant change our result know and have to prove fpsc wrong next time with our very good result.

thats all i have to say

Chaps i think Islamiat will be tough next year too if they don't include Ayat translation, that was an easy 10 marks out of objective marks, so if some one got them right and 2 or 3 MCQs there was a chance to pass.If there are no MCQs then i think we will again suffer.

I would've failed too but i cheated MCQs in Islamiat from the chap in front of me, luckily, despite failing in 3 other subjects, he somehow got 52 marks in Islamiat, almost 15 MCQs correct

Hopefully he will be there next year

Satisfied with your achievement?? hehe..

Well i had only 5 MCQs correct in Islamiat...MCQs do matter but there are 80 more marks too ...and don't ever cheat! its like putting your trust in somebody else more than in your abilities.
