I think they do, analyze interviews posted here by different aspirants. They are asking questions accordingly (tough interview for those who possibly scored higher) and not very tough for those who have not qualified with competitive marks.

I know marks are not declared yet but from how they ask the questions and things they say directly/indirectly do indicate they have a good Idea of the score in written of the aspirant in question

Sir,i take an exception to your opinion.Without being personal i implore that please keep in mind that the generalization that good written scores beget tough questions from the panel is not substantiated.Anyone can get tough questions or easy questions.Written Score influences the assessment of the panel but we still have no justification for this assumption.

And the term "tough question" or hard stance itself has a judgement based on the unique experience of the interviewee and the expectations and apprehensions of prospective candidates.
The other day one of my friend who had Physics and Mathematics was asked about Ran of Kutch, Durand Line,Silk Route. He had no exposure of geography. It entirely depends on the mood of the panel. It sends different signals ranging from conventional 30min pleasant ambiance to departure from the expected.

Please correct me if i am wrong.
Regards.

No there is no criteria which u mentioned. They do have written mark sheet, psychological proforma and a question-answer sheet with them. Every candidate's questionnaire is prepared by keeping in mind his psycho directives and proforma strength as well as written score. However this exception is quite famous with candidates that they do ask more questions from those subjects in which the candidate has scored very high or very low, though there is no hard and fast rule.

Yup absolutely. Cz we qualifiers are in no position to decide or argue with them that from where they should ask us. They have a vast room so they can ask from anywhere.....However cross-questioning explores the strength of candidate's confidence because of hardliner attitude of interviewees really make you wierd when sitting in oxygen-less room

It took 6.5 months between Written and its result in case of CSS 2010. Medical was taken after 3 months and psychological as well at the same time. Some candidates had their psychological and interview before medical some after medical so it varies. From December Psychological and interviews started and they usually last for 4-5 months depending upon the number of candidates passed in the exam. In our case Probably before 14th of may interviews should end and in 3rd week of may result must be declared, however its sole discretion of FPSC. Institute is not incumbent upon our analysis. Its just the safe estimate.
Hence;

5-7 months between written and its result
after 2 months of result psychological and interviews start according to center
It takes around 4-5 months
Meanwhile Medicals may take place
and Final result may take 7-8 months after written result
So it takes almost 14-15 months in total with minimum count.

Hope you're clear now.....

Yesterday was my interview. I was almost a repetition of psychological interview. Almost 90% questions were related to things i wrote in psychological exercises.

There was only one question from current affairs that is Colombia China Relations. Thanks to Rishzz I read about this the night before yesterday.

Three questions they asked from Urdu ... Complete this couplet of Ghalib " Hoa hay shah ka musahib phiray hay itrata", Translate this couplet of Ghabil "Ghalib agar na khirqa o mushaf farookhtam" (this was in persian and I could translate only the first misrah but why the asked me to translate a persian verse?) and third question was what is common between Prem Chand, Karishan Chandar, and Rajinder Singh Bedi.

Only one question was from Islamic history. I was asked about intellectual heritage of Abbasid period. I told about the books written and translated by Islamic scholar. But BD said I am asking about intellectual heritage. I said "Sir may you please elaborate the question". He replied "so you don't know the answer so we move forward". And I am still confused what is meant by intellectual heritage.

Since they did not ask question about current affairs, economy, etc. so I feel that either they have already made up their minds that this person is not suited for service or it may be that I scored too low in written to be considered seriously. Whatever it is I am having absolutely no hope.
