Motivation, the soul factor in order to achieve specified goals. Motivation is an internal drive but it has connections with physical helath as well. A person who is physically active will consume less energy to motivate himself in persuasion of his goals than an idolent chap. An important way to get yourself motivated is to associate certain perks with your goals. Like, we see, people are always motivated to get some government job because for associated perks,e.g. job security,a prosperous future, etc. This incentive based way of motivation has worked for me many times. Motivation is like a contract that doesn't last long and we always have to renew it for our own betterment.

Question No. 5:
"While there may be many reasons for the frequent transfers of police officers, resulting in brief tenures, the most common, as per serving police officers, is that of political interference. Politicians get the officers of their choice posted to various posts and allow them to continue as long as they do their bidding. The moment somebody says no to their illegal demands, he is asked to be transferred out. Of course, part of the blame has to be shared by the police leaders who run after politicians to get choice postings and promise to fulfil their demands." ( Tariq Parvez; Brief tenures of police leadership) Comment on the above statements. |

Alina, You went for the Jugular :)
Yes. It is Sad but it is true.
Not just in Pakistan, all over the world, politicians tend to control law enforcement agencies(Police, Intelligence Bureau, Lawyers etc.) for their vested interests. It is pretty obvious why - to get away from their malpractices and unlawful activities and who better to save them then the law itself. Pakistani Perspective: Pakistan is an underdeveloped, corrupt(mostly) country with literacy rate of below 60 Percent(Govt. Figures) so the tendency of falling prey to immoral things is higher, thus, Police pampering politicians for their benefits and politicians rewarding them in return is not news. Point is, these MNA's and MPA's have learnt this trade from our so-called leaders. The transferring of Police officers and bureaucrats by chief ministers, prime ministers for their own interests has encouraged politicians of all cadres to use Govt. Institutes as their puppets. This also clarifies why the new Governments change all high level positions i.e. Chief of Army Staff, Supreme/High court judges etc. This is a devils circle. This is exactly why Pakistan is falling behind. It is nobody's fault but ours. I could go on and on but for the sake of my rising blood pressure I should stop, but I will happy to hear what others have to say about it. |

Apart from that I wanted to ask if we can raise such an "issue" in our exams, without taking any political figure's name? It is often said not to pinpoint any government's name. |

Politicians,to me,are the real culprits because their role in the development of Pakistan is negligible. We know that this is a materialistic world. We can buy anything from money and who can know the worth of power and money better than politicians. The dilemma of our politicians is that they never tried to understand the difference between legislation and law enforcement. Legislation is what politicians are supposed to do and than let state institutions to implement those laws but unfortunately politicians tend to control state institutions as well to implement laws of their own choice and for their own betterment. This intention to overcome state institutions and unnecessary interference never allowed people of this country to live freely.
P.S. I have read that article and reputation of police and other state institutions is at stake because of these politicians.

Bad politics everywhere is responsible for degradation of our system. Imbalance of powers is another factor. Politicians are currently the only "most powerful entity". They are not willing to share their powers with other state institutions and tend to show as they are above the law. We,the people, are living in a kleptocratic regime where everyone is trying to be in power or"a power". So, there is a dire need to eradicate politics from state institutions. They should work as autonomous bodies within the jurisdiction of law and Judiciary should be above all.
