Default Subject Selection- 2015 aspirant

Helloo

well I am Ammara and I am appearing in CSS 2015, well as per age limit I can appear in 2015 and 2016. So I am taking 2015 mostly as a chance and see how things work. It does not mean that I am not serious.
Well I need some suggestions about the subject selection, so lets discuss my background for a clear picture of what subjects I should opt.
Well I have done Msc Economics from Qau so that makes Economics one of my optional, in bachelors I have studied Geography(in urdu) which makes me not very comfortable ab it and back then I was really good in Persian as well....
Well as far as my English concerned I will rate it a 7 if not more plus I am not the cramming type, I can write in my own worlds. So I can be good in subjective kind of subjects like sociology, journalism, political science etc ( i can write crap which makes sense, kind off)
I have Indo-Pak history in mind as I think its kind of extended version of Pakistan studies. (I think)
So now that you know my background and strengths I would like you to suggest me subjects.... i want some combo which matches my strengths and is high scoring at the same time.
I am really looking forward for some good piece of advice form seniors and members.
Regards
Ammara

I have also opted Political Science, Indo-Pak History and Economics. I went with the same combination in CE-2014. Indo-Pak History will directly cover your subject of Pak Affairs. My experience with this combination was good in CE-2014. You can get along with Political Science and Indo-Pak History but as far as Economics is concerned you have to consult 3 to 5 books (Local and Foreign Authors both) and also give it more time. For Political Science you will have to study almost 10 to 12 Political Systems.

Hi, Ammara .
well before suggesting you about subject as per my opinion you must have a look on past papers of Economics. if they are appealing you ,then you should opt Eco.. otherwise it is not a scoring subject..
as you said that you were good in Persian then do opt it because it is a good scoring subject sociology is good and quiet scoring.. journalism is also good but same suggestion must check its past papers.. psychology is also good and scoring subject and you can opt a regional language Punjabi short syllabus and very easy
Baki it's up to you
wish you good luck
Regards..

As for as the domain of your interest is concerned, the following subjects may be compatible with your mentality:

Persian 200
Islamic History 200
Journalism 100
Public administration 100
International Law 100
Punjabi 100

While you think about opting INDO-PAK History or Political Science, I'll suggest you not to choose any of them because these two are very risky subjects. Moreover, since 2007 the trend of marking has been changed. Indo Pak does not stand as an scoring subject since then, same as Political Science. Be judicious while selecting any subject. The best thing is to look at the past papers before taking any subject.

Thank you so much Diplomatic, Maria and Adeel well i spent all these days going through past papers etc. As i have 3 months time so i want to stick to my roots.. will opt the subjects i already have an idea about. Economics is my strong point then Geography, for both i can rock paper B, paper A need a bit of effort. Now the most confusing part was the deciding for the rest of 200 marks, so i think i ll go doe Indo-Pak only because i have no idea about sociology or journalism. I don't know if it a wise choice but in three months and currently at point zero its best to go for what i know already... i guess

Go with the Following Subjects:

1. Economics (Do consult Mankiws and Parkins Books)
2. Geography
3. Indo-Pak History (A New History of Indo-Pak by K. Ali) (Pre-partition and Post-Partition by Jehangir World Times)
