Default cut of age for css 2011

aoa,
All those who are not eligible for css 2011 due to cut of age 1st january 2011.
i mailed all members of fpsc to revise cut of date.Under current rule a candidate who becomes 28 years on 1st january 2011 is not eligible. So all who born on 1st january could not appear in 2011,the students in rural ares have usually date of birth as 1st january so Fpsc allows a candidate who is 21 years old then it shoud allow all those who becomes 28 years.
let us raise our voices for cut of date it is in privew of FPSC.Member Fpsc assured me that he will discuss it on concerned forum,so all of us should write letters and e mails to chairman and members of FPSC for the revision of cut of date

I called at FPSC too and they confirmed that no such policy under way.

As expected, it was just a rumour.

But the papers are expected to be held in February 2011.

Wink Proposal for change in CSS exam policy

18-07-2010. Article of Dawn News

ACCORDING to a news report, the FPSC has forwarded a proposal for change in the policy for CSS 2011 examinations, according to which the minimum qualification will be a master’s degree (16 years of education) and the age limit will be relaxed by five years.

This is a good initiative taken by the commission because in most developed countries the age limit for appearing in such competitive examinations is either not specified or it is around 35-40 years.

Currently, for appearing in the CSS examinations, the minimum qualification is B.A. and the age limit is 28 years which was reviewed by former President Pervez Musharraf in 2001.

But, last year a similar kind of proposal for changing this policy was forwarded for approval which was rejected by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

I request Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to take this matter seriously because this issue has recently been discussed in the Senate and there are hundreds of highlyqualified but unemployed people in Pakistan who are being deprived from appearing in CSS examinations only because of the age-limit barrier.

As in Pakistan, most of the middle class have to support their families right after their graduation and they also have to complete their remaining education while serving in government or private organisations.

Therefore, in relaxing five years of age and setting minimum qualification as Masters (16 years of education) should not be opposed. This way we could find welleducated as well as mature people in the civil services.

The chairman, FPSC, and the Senate Committee concerned are also requested to support this move. SHEERAZ AKHTAR Lahore

Default Fpsc requested

Great job Asif Amin! Your efforts will be remembered. Fpsc should stop playing hide and seek and straightaway grant age relaxation. I'm hopeful that by the grace of Allah Almighty fpsc will give age relaxation as soon as posssible. They havnt mentioned age criteria in the css 2011 advertisement on their site, sure because they havnt decided age and qualification criteria for the said exam. Css is a competitive exam and raising age limit will enhance its spirit of competition. So all those candidates out there who are not afraid of competition must support age relaxation proposal. And those who are afraid, should study hard. Hats off to Sheraz Akhtar and Asif Amin.
