As a Director Environmental Protection Agency(EPA), How can you create awareness to protect the environment and endangered wildlife.

Solution/Suggestions:
a) Run awareness programs in schools, colleges and universities

b) Install giant screens and run videos showing the dangers of pollution and endangered wildlife.

c) The awareness program must identify the problems as well as give solutions e.g. proper dumping of waste

d) Issue well-researched policy papers for high-ups

e) Raise awareness through print and electronic media. EPA officials should write in papers and participate in discussion programs to point out problems and propose solutions.

As A Secretary of Tourism Department take suitable measures to improve its performance.

Suggestions:

a) Law and order situation be improved so that tourists may come without any fear

b) Standards of travelling and hotelling facilities be upgraded

c) Concessions in Air and land travel be given to visitors

d) New hotels, shopping places be built

e) There should be no disturbance in natural process, the life of wild animals should be provided safeguard

f) Any establishment of industry which causes pollution should be prohibited

c) Standard of Govt institutions should be enhanced

d) Permission should be granted to only those private medical colleges which have established their own hospital to provide house job facility to their students

e) Moreover private colleges should be asked to reduce the fees so that deserving students might be able to get education

f) They should abide by the rules of UGC and maintain discipline, merit should be their first priority

g) Vigilant check should be maintained on all medical institutions to ensure their quality and proper functioning

h) Resolution should passed and affiliation with UGC be made mandatory.

a) Police should be made ready 24 hours and it should announce various measures through mobiles for the safeguard of afflicted people

a) constitute a special team to investigate how he got out of police custody. The team must reach a conclusion regarding police’s incompetence or complicity. Take action

Govt is not paying well attention about the up-gradation of libraries. Many libraries which were created are either ghost houses or being used for other purposes. In few libraries number of books is very less. On the other hand interest of people about utilization of libraries is decreasing day by day. You have been made chairman of working group for libraries. Your have to upgrade the condition of libraries, increase number of books and focus on cost and management issues being faced for running libraries.

Suggestions:

a) Gather educated/local bodies having influence in respected areas to run awareness campaign about importance of books/library

b) Motivate people for raising of funds

c) Find whole-seller to get good books but on cheaper rates to increase book data

d) Approach government and make them feel the importance of education and library to get some fund

e) To handle management issue, make responsible the educated people to handle management affairs on rotation basis

f) Introduce technology and turn library into digital libraries

g) Share a book and get membership

Tax evasion, As a DO(Revenue & Estate) how to solve?

Suggestions:

a) Incentives to tax payers

b) Data be computerized

c) NADRA should be involved

d) Tax card bearing reward points just like credit cards be issued, people will be motivated to pay tax

e) Health facilities be given at less cost to those who pay taxes. This can be accessed through computerized NTN cards

f) Process of filling returns be made easy and accessible

g) Team be formed to catch those who are not paying tax

h) Revising our policies regarding tax collecton

i) CNIC should bear tax detail. Once you are registered with NADRA you also be registered with FBR

j) Merit based hiring in FBR to demote corruption

Secretary education is discussing the problems in education sector like political interference in teacher transfer etc.

A specific country is asking to hand over an individual who is apprehended by the local police. Law says that he should be convicted locally but we can't endanger our relations with that country. There was this third country who wanted the guy as well.

a) Relation with third country should be taken into consideration, if relations with both countries are of equal importance

b) The nature of crime be determined, if its against the national sovereignty, we should not handover to anyone, but is his crime is at individual level, we can solve it at that level

c) We should formulate a body of judges which can think of options after the culprit is tried in local courts, depending upon the crime he has committed

d) Then international law should be followed

e) Trial can be finalised in the country but that person may be allowed to complete his punishment in his country's prison

f) Amnesty can also be granted if the nature of crime is of civil not criminal

We've got 5 billion from Government to invest in the local infrastructure of Police department to eradicate corruption, nepotism and unusual delay in hearing of cases, coupled with poor condition of the ones apprehended.

a) Short term: consider rural areas and in long term focus should be on improving school atmosphere

Some terrorists have made hostage our 4 army men as a hostage and they want our American policy to be changed:

a) First priority should be to save innocent lives

b) Negotiate with the terrorists

c) Analyse their weakness and your strong points

d) Prolong negotiations as long as you can in order to rattle them

e) Make rescue plan

f) Critically analyse all options how successful a rapid commando action could be. However don't risk more human lives if situation seems desperate

g) Always establish good rapport with the media, establish your media ground and show the cruelty of kidnappers

h) Try to boost the morale of kidnapped, they should know that the govt is behind them

i) Try to put sanity into the minds of kidnappers if they succumb and put forward some logical demands then forward the outcome of the negotiations to a higher authority

More Suggestions:

-Posters containing instructions of protection of environment be installed

-Documentaries about the importance of endangered wildlife and their protection be run on TV

-Campaign for planting tree be run

-Legislation be made and cutting of forests and trees be prohibited and violators be strictly dealt with.

You are designated as the DCO. The workers of a mill are on strike, demanding two months bonus, currently getting bonus for one month only. The mill administration dismissed two labour leaders. Strike is on the same day and on the same route on which a religious procession was scheduled. You have insufficient security forces. As a DCO, how would you tackle this problem?

Suggestions


a) I would convene a meeting b/w strike leaders and mill owners to settle the bonus problem and try that strike be called off and use all the available security for the procession

b) If they donot agree on solution, I would persuade the strike leaders to hold their peaceful strike after the procession has passed. I will also meanwhile call the DPO to assist there and make sure that procession is passed unhindered

You are made DCO. In your district a industry was to be established. Now locally people were not skilled labors, so labor force was to be hired from other provinces. This resented the local masses. What would u do in such condition?

a) Industry owners be contacted and asked to appoint local people

b) Training programs be initiated to train local people

c) Free training centers be commenced to equip them with proper technical training

Find ways to improve the recovery of taxes from the landlords of the area, the people use ways to manipulate records of lands, how can we solve that problem?

Suggestions:

a) In order to tax land owners on equity basis, an investigation team need to be constituted

b) The result of the survey be computerized and revenue records be adequately updated

c) To consolidate it further an audit team should ensure the veracity of revenue records

d) The record should be secured under multi-password system, that will create insurmountable hurdle for manipulation

e) this process will enable the administrator to tax landowners in the proportion of their yield


A clerk remains absent regularly, what should be done?

Suggestions:


a) Should be called and asked about his absence

b) Should be given chance to present his opinion/reason

c) Should be inquired if he is facing any serious problem due to which he remains absent. If yes then he should be helped to come out of the problem

d) If there is no such problem he should be given warning

e) His salary be withheld
