The most ridiculous test i have ever given of NTS. NTDC is a electrical transmission based company and almost the entire test was related to DATA COMMUNICATION and COMPUTATION. Only 5 questions out of 100 related to Transmission.

These were GK questions . I wrote them on the piece of paper after i finished the technical portion in 30 mins because of the COMPLETELY UNRELATED technical portion.

I agree with you NTS is not doing well with electrical engineers.

An alternator has 8 poles, for one revolution the frequency would be in Hz:
10 4 8 16

I just read some new things out of this test. Didn't know them before, just like,
"Darlington Pair" & GSM uses TDMA/FDMA !!! and some other antenna related Questions :P

Did anyone knows that how many marks should someone get to be called for interview?

1. when answer sheets will be uploaded?
2. short listing criteria, whoever passed the test called for interview or only shortlisted candidates?

The right answer was 4Hz,as 2 poles are needed to create a single waveform,so 8 poles will generate 4 waves in one revolution!

my friend came a bit late in the test, he was saying , he heard some NTS personnel were discussing that some of the questions are wrong and some have wrong answers so if any one would select any option they will get the marks.....
I have studied Power system and Machines from Germany, and I was unable to attend lot of question because those questions were beyond stupidness

this job is particularly related with Power field... I have given FESCO, Hydel and NTDC tests before they always ask lot of questions from Transmission, Generation and Distribution Field ,,,,but NTS as usual messed up every thing ...
