To those who have been shortlisted for UNM... You need not to convert your percentage in CGPA, if only percentage is mentioned on your transcript or degree. USA and Pakistan have totally different grading systems and the administrations of universities/institutes of USA are well aware of this fact. So instead of losing hope at the very initial stage, its best to keep up your spirits and feel free to contact the UNM graduate office for international students for any queries. They would reply to your queries much faster than HEC, I am sure.

One of the important things in the admission policy of UNM is that they have clearly mentioned that the University examines an application holistically, giving equal weight-age to TOEFL/IELTS, GRE, GPA, Letter of Intent etc.

This is the fifth batch and these seat must be already filled out, that is why it is marked by N/A.
90% scholarships under phase 2 were meant to be filled in four batches of 450 students each and the fifth batch and any other batch in future will only be announced for the unfilled seats. And if Agriculture quota was filled the previous year then HEC should have explained that in the ad that Agriculturalists don't apply. But till now they have placed Agriculture category on the website in overseas scholarships.

HEC made us wait for a whole one year and now I am going tomorrow to discuss this with the authorities there at HEC. If the matter was not solved I might move toward Press and Court options....Doing all these because I left a good scholarship for Brazil for this HEC overseas.

Please try to understand that no Government related Institution can breach the Provincial Quota requirement in any case. And N/A does't mean that your field is of no national interest rather all seats are already filled under this head.
