One can get Turkish visa in one day from Turkish Embassy in Islamabad.

1.Police certificate is not required for visa process

2.Health certificate must be certified by the MS (Medical superintendent) of the hospital. Report must state that you physically fit to travel abroad

3.It is possible that they issue you visa the same day. Visa would be of 3 months 90 days only

4.Tick the option of Single entry

when you will arrive here, you have to apply for resident permit. which will be valid for the time period of your study. Although often they issue it for one year.

(These are the answers from one of HEC Scholar Jawad Nizamani, currently studying in METU)

Is it necessary to have Air Tickets with you or just online reservation without payment is enough?, when I contacted HEC they said just make online reservation.

One can do free booking at any PIA Office. Only booking is require for Turkish visa.

I am bringing my wife along but we have both got HEC koc Admission so I am not sure about your case. I also am very keen to learn if there are other people bringing their families along.

i have plan to call my family after going to turkey... in Jan or Feb 2014... and i also advice you to do the same. first go there and settle yourself then call ur family.... i got selected for KOC university Mechanical Engineering... whats your discipline?

I got Turkey visa from turkish embassy in islamabad.. they issued me visa same day with in 1 hour.... you only need medical report, passport with photocopy and a passport size picture and 6000 rupees with HEC award letter and KOC university offer letter. they asked for ticket reservation then i said i m HEC scholar and HEC will reserve my ticket. and showed them that it is written in award letter...

can anybody please share the bond that is to be filled for HEC. if they have in soft form and the things required for it

Dear Sarmad,

Thanks for the info. I shall be going to Bilkent University. Actually I am also planning for my family to join me there after a few months but I want to complete all the process before departure. So, I think it would be convenient if I get VISA for them before my departure. What's your opinion on that? I will be starting PhD in Electrical Engineering.

i have medical fitness certificate. will it suufice for visa. or we should have international travel health report as is said on the forum by some members. if yes then kindly explain the difference between medical fiteness certificate and travel health report/ and finally thanks for such useful information
