did hec allot china to you.If yes they will send you the procedure .
I get admission through CSC Under hrd faculty development scholarship.
In beijing there is a school in pakistan embassy and i don't think there is any school for pakistani children else where in china .

as for job is concern if you are a computer programmer then you will get a job other wise you should have white color and American accent to get a job of English teacher

900 doller is not enough to live in beijing but it is enough in some small cities.

and last did HEC told you that they will give 900$ because we are getting 800$

I gave my preference for USA and HEC told me to apply for admission in USA which I have already done and now waiting for the result. I also want to try for China and Turkey so I think I should contact HEC for this issue.

You are in which City and University and which is your discipline.

Is there any chance of getting research or teaching assistantship in Chinese universities.

What can be the normal living cost with family in Beijing.

I am in beijing . No chance of any research or teaching assistantship in chinese universities. 2700 Rmb is house rent per month in district outside main beijing. And in the area where all universities are located the rent is unaffordable. No man no . It is not possible to live with three school going children in beijing .

I recommend you to apply to northwestern poly technical university where I did my ms from, Pakistani community is very active there and they have made a school for their children there where they teach them themselves and the international school signs the diplomas... It's not a perfect system but its a kind of thing that better than nothing ... Apart from that 900 plus CSC scholarship is more than sufficient in xian ... CSC gives free residence And 1700 for ms or 2000 rmb for phd which is a good enough amount in any case. I read the reply from the Beijing brother and agree with a few things about big cities being expensive but xian is fine and with CSC it's even better ... People easily managed there without CSC on 800 dollars...
About jobs, well that's not a dead end as the other brother said, English teaching job doesn't need white skin, it needs good English ... And in some cases people have been financed by their supervisors to a certain amount, not too big but have been financed never the less ... It depends on your approach to problems no matter where one is living ...

We Hec scholar just get admission throuh csc we are gettng nothing from csc ( there is no free residnce for us nor we are getting any 1700 rmb extra) , you have to pay 1500 rmb just for single bed in shared room.

There are too many pakistani in my universty , they all are getting 1200$ along with salary but they only call their family just for a couple of month. Becuase you can't live in beijing, the way we live in pakistan. In beijing we just have one school in pakistan embassy. If you have three school going children then it is impossible to cover your expenses . One of my friend spend
all his scholarship along with some part of his salary and live at the edge of Beijing. Other married people also have terrible stories .

As for job is concern Beijing is full of american and european and these chinese only conisder you if you are white . They are very impressed by white people.

May be in Xian there are some jobs for pakistani due to less foriegner.

Dear Gauhar,

I had also given USA as preference under UESTP/UET 2013 Scholarhship for MS leading PhD. HEC told me to wait until the university itself contacts me. How did you apply? What should Ido?
