Mehran UET, Jamshoro. Yes we need a letter from Registrar indicating the medium of University.
It is important if the chosen University offers research based Masters. If it is course based then it is not important.

Can anyone give two different counteris as preference? HEC has asked to give only one choice.
Those who are applying for Masters Program are they eligible to apply for HONG KONG?

NO...you can give only one preference...

Yes...you can apply for HKUST...

So I called HEC today and found out that all those who are shortlisted in August and afterwards (those who have already missed the deadline of September intake) can only apply in Spring 2014.

I think that's very unfair that we don't get a chance to apply in September.

May be talking to them in person by going to HEC can convince them? Is anyone in for it?

Torino Italy offers admission in spring only,,,for Germany DAAD has started the program few weeks ago.. how can someone get admission in these countries in said situation????

and the applicant dont have any second chance????

I met them on Friday. and they were reluctant in considering these applicants for fall 2014.
But when I gave them reference of this forum , they said if its really true that no university is offering admission for social sciences, then we will definitely consider you guys for fall 2014. Further, he added, that we are offering this scholarship for the first time to social sciences discipline , that is why having some problems.
I agree with you Irene and I think if more people will contact them , then definitely chances are bright that they will consider us for fall 2014.
Further I tell you guys, there must be a very strong reason that they cancell the scholarship of any applicant. so don't worry and pray and keep updating here.

Respected Members,
Is this HEC scholarship is only valid for spring Semester intake? I thought this scholarship is valid for one whole year.
So we can't apply for fall semester 2014?

Anyone interested in applying to HKUST Hong Kong in Engineering Department?

Regrads.

Can we apply for Folrida State University USA under this scholarship Program as it was mentioned in first round and also in HEC advertisment?

Thats good to know. Can you tell me who are the concerned people to talk to there? And what is the best time to visit HEC?

I am interested in applying to HKUST. But not the engineering department.

if you are going to HEC ,,you can meet
MR. WASEEM HASHMI SYED (Project Director)
and
MR. MUHAMMAD JAMSHAID (Project Manager)

in my opinion you should meet with Mr. Waseem Hashmi PD he is very nice i have met him once he is very helping and cooperating......
please do ask him about considering applicant for the fall session as few of universities are not offering admission in Spring and HEC hasn't clear this thing earlier,,,,
