Well i personally visited HEC few days back for submitting my deficient document and met Adil Khan Sb (the person who emailed us) there....I inquired about the release of funds to scholars..

He said that funds for those scholars who have submitted documents in May 2014 will be released as soon as possible and he pointed at sealed envelopes lying on his table that were ready to be dispatched to candidates....While funds for those candidates who submitted documents in September 2014 will take 2-3 months as it will take time for scrutinizing the deficient documents...After this process is complete, then HEC will issue awards letter to candidates...

However, I have to admit that HEC is going slow in this matter even though they have hired staff few months back....It should have been completed by now....but what can we do....this system is penetrated deep within our culture and system...so nothing to blame for.... Hopefully IA the funds will be released as per HEC in 2-3 months....I am waiting for the release of funds just like you so you all gals and guys be hopeful IA everything will be alright

I am provisionally selected for HEC indigenous. It clearly state that in-order to apply for the above Faculty development program you must not be availing any other HEC scholarship. Since its just provisional selection in HEC indigenous ,i want to try for this foreign scholarship. I hope it doesn't affect my indigenous scholarship.Whichever i get first ,i want to avail it.

Yes you can, no issue. You are bound to HEC indigenous only if you are receiving funds.

I was selected in PhD Indigenous Scholarship (Phase II and Batch II). My funds are not released yet, because my file is still under process. Some of my colleagues have got their funds released for one year which are around PKR840,000. In the released funds, a total of PKR240,000 will be credited to Scholars account and others will be divided among other stakeholders.

Now, my question is, in case of default how much a scholar (in this case I) need to pay? Second, is there any scenario if I could temporarily suspend my award before release of funds? or How can I terminate after the release of the funds?

I was in Batch-11 (Phase-11)..Yar i provide all basic documents but they were asking me for some additional info due to my late completion of MPhil,which is still in process..ready to final this month (Mphil thesis). they stopped communication with me and was never asked for further process. can they cancel the scholarship without any proper communication?
