These days mobile phone has become a part of our lives..different cellular companies are offering Night Packages by calling them as "Youth Packages"..Does this thing make any sense?Punjab Assembly passed a resolution in which it emphasised that government should impose a ban on these packages...being a youth of Pakistan, what is your opinion?

I endorse your view. This menace has caused too much damage to our society and youth.
There was a time when children were taught to read books and now u cannot believe my younger sister cant even read books in urdu; keep aside english. When i was younger i used to read children's magazine but now our youth is busy in mobiles and these sort of activities so how they can think of their country or atleast think about their families. To discourage these sort of activities government should impose heavy VAT taxes so that we can find cure to this menace and free our youth from this monster!

yes, no doubt they are very harmful and should be banned, at most 1 free hour and that too before 10 pm will be nice, or 1-2 hours only on weekends, because by this there will not be excess of anything, and secondly many students living in hostels have to call their parents at home. and same way some one who is doing job in some distant city also needs to talk to his family. but again not more than 1 hours daily, or 2-3 hours per week be allowed.

comeon ppl low parental control is the reason behind the misuse of modern facilities. i don't endorse the ban of cheap night packages as i ve found these useful while interacting & communicating with friends. for example, 1 of my friends had interview call for civil judge and through night package we were able to speak for hours on the phone and discuss important stuff.
so i m not in favour of ban on these packages...

It is the responsibility to State to provide such opportunities which will ensure decorum and high moral values in the society. When there is opportunity whether abusive or beneficial - it is availed with great zeal. Night packages are introduced for us - whether to use it or abuse it.
It is not possible to refrain people by misuse of certain things which are for our benefits. For instance if government imposes ban on night packages - will our society will leap into the era of peace and prosperity? Similarly, there are many things like internet - it is wonderful invention and current affordable prices of DSL - by different ISPs is really a great blessing in our daily life. Now how government check each and every individual not to chat or talk till late night? Pirated CDs, vulgar literature and other things - it should be banned by government immediately. It is the government which can ensure high moral life in society by adopting concrete measure. Moreover, it is also the responsibility of society, family and parents to check the activities of individuals.

if elcetricity failed , ups or generator not present mosquitoes and insects bite you again and again, darkness produce an environment of fear sudenly you receive a call of your friend , duration of call consist minimam 2 hours, then electricity come, know you can sleep easily advantages of packages 1- time passing 2- your parents happy because you r present in home not in chock 3- on dat time mostly youth sleep no tention of rioting against govt policies 4-freedom of talk for women and men 5- increase the ratio of marriages 6- automatically the result of love marriages the custom of dowery reduce 7- parents are burdenfree for their childern life partners 8- some people start hardworking to attain their partner 9- environment of beauty (dress @ face ) develop 10- street qurrals finished so, i can say that no bill required on this matter, youth will reject this bill like those bill who was among sms tax

My humble opinion is that the very presence of night packages doesn't incite anyone to make long calls. This mobile is a dummy. You can use it for good or bad.It all depends on your upbringing and values the way you use the night package offer.
I wonder how many girls and boys have found more interest in each other after the launch of night packages. In old days there were letters and so many junk things.Nevertheless,i have utilized this facility because it is cheap and has allowed me to talk to my friends. Regards, Help |

But do you really think there are justified reasons in favor of all such packages and offers? Just for the hell of it we can not negate the vulnerability attached to it. There are lot of adverse effects of being indulged in such time pass activities that are apparantly destroying our values and making us distracted from our liabilities and obligations. Technology is never to be blamed but we are responsible for putting it in right use.
