Ahaan!

I agree with your point. However, I personally believe that television is not just the only way to inlfuence or change and it's not just the only part of media. Yes, it can play an immense role but if that doesn't work, we do have alternatives. You might agree with me that the movie "Khuda ke Liye" impacted many of us. It was a huge success. Many people started questioning, and pondering on various issues. In fact, even here - the forum - a discussion regarding music in context to Islam was initiated. Moreover, those among us who are highly educated like professors, or writers should start from their respective fields. A teacher can influence to a great extent. A writer can inlfuence the mind. If not television, then we can use magazines, seminars, books, etc etc. Besides, we can use such forums and such discussions. Many more ways will surface if only we want to find them.

Yes you are right that first we need inner revolution. First step is always difficult to take. Muslims ab ahista ahista jaag rhy hein. Wesay b jo hr cheez apnay waqt pr hi ho gi. I am 100% hopeful that soon Muslims will regain their lost pride.

I disagree with you because Media is now challenge,as globalization.what you are discussing it is through media.we are informed through media and new generation is more acquainted with computers and net.you asked about writers and teachers.they got knowleged via media.Media stands for Radio,t.v,movies, and music, novels.so how we can come up with this challenge.it is a question

i think this is what we need to do...

we should start contributing..lets say what if i/we can manage the education of a poor child(it will cost 1000 or 1500? do we have it in us to spend this from our personal expenses or we are just good for discussions?)...what if we donate some of our time for teachnig someone(may be the little maid working in our houses)...what if we change our behaviour towards the milkman, towards the the sweeper, towards the garderner, towards the clowns standing on the roads for entertainment of childrens,to the poorest class of our society, what if we start treating all of them with respect?these are all little steps but if all of us start doing this they will make a huge impact but for doing all this we need janoon, poassion which is lacking...talking about practical steps what if a group of friends pool a fund contributing 100/200 monthly for the eductaion of a child?this is practical and this is what we all need to do but we are just good for discussions.who among you is ready to give it a try?you see it is not difficult to bring about a change.it is just that we dont want to although we say we want to.

right from my early childhood i always wanted to do something good for others but i always used to think that i dont have any platform.then i grew up a bit and started thinking that i can do no good until i am in some position of real power..i wanted to have an impact on the masses but the suddenly i realised that may be i would never be able to that and may be i am not made for all this but what i can do is to contribute and to contribute in small bits and infact this is what we require.it is not required by us to always think of doing big things.join hands to help others and to help urself.but it needs motivation, self motivation, will, desire in a realistic sense to bring about a change.go crazy in pursuit of your mission

yes, there is a leader in all of us.we should realise our potential because its now or never.and it is the time to be practical.

may be we cannot change policies but it does not mean that we cannot bring a change..we may not have a leader but we all surely have direction and we all know what to do.its not a question about what we need its a question about whether we want to do it or not?...the small things

that's only achievable through scientific advancements.USA and Russia began working together on it as early as 1993(my hunch).

and I saw one of your posts regarding launching of satellites.I'm not sure if there are any holes at poles. The best place to launch satellite however is equator, because earth has maximum spin over there,so it helps launching a satellite.

google ionosphere, this question is even EDs Too.
You will find how radio waves are used for processment of media.satellite are sent, but how to send signals it depend on intensity when we send radio waves outside the atmosphere we need waves of larger wavelength so that i can not reflect back.and from space short wave length waves are accepted. And when you communicate, use wireless connection ,radio, t.v than these waves are send to space.
Suppose America sent satellite to space and pakistan has receiver antena to connect with pakistan.pakistan has receiver antena and America will send carrier waves to space and these satellite send these waves to pak receiver antena and waves are received to our pakistan antena.in this way communication work.we if have receiver antena, and channel, than we have to buy shares from these corporates media industry.

sis I'm afraid your concepts aren't that correct.

It's called microwave communication,it needs parablic antenna(dish is an example).and high frequency signal(6MHz,and 4 MHz,for uplink and downlink respectively, difference is kept to avoid interference).and these signals are of low wavelength(i.e high freq).and they can penetrate through atmospheric layers(5 layers including ionosphere).these microwaves don't need holes to traverse atmospheric layers.

-------------------------------

sorry it's Giga herts,6GHz and 4GHz respectively.

let's not discuss it here any more,it needs to be discussed in EDS thread.
