In previous posts you were talking about the mindset of bureaucrats and army officers. This mindset has been adopted due to the British rule on the Indian subcontinent. The white people needed personnel who could accomodate them in making their stay easy in the subcontinent. It is this mindset that has been indoctrinated into bureaucrats and army officers and I don't think that it change in the near future, until and unless the institutional structure of our country changes from grass root level.

@Sky Marshall....Personally, I feel that you are letting everyone know about them being a nincompoop. I think either you are not in your senses when posting threads on this forum or either you are a stubborn nincompoop who thinks that everyone around him is stupid.

I hope we can start some more meaningful discussion about NAB interview and leave behind our fights and other baseless discussions.
Because I have worked in Private institutions and i have worked with them. In most factories and institutions, Retired army personnel is preferred to administer. You can even see ads in newspapers if u r in doubt. No doubt they are better disciplined than a normal candidate.

Brother I am not taking anyone's side. I know ash90 uses irrational examples to explain his point of view as I mentioned in one of my previous posts but the language used by skymarshall has made me to comment on this issue. I need not talk on this as I am not involved but the speech of skymarshall is an indication of him thinking that he is superior to everyone else in this forum.

What we are lacking is respecting law. Well, leave this.
Our govt departments have more capable men and women than in private institutions. The difference is the mindset. A person in govt job is mentally relaxed that nothing is going to happen with him if he is not doing his duty properly. Well nestle and other companies dont have a strategic department that involves defence related matters. And departments like ANF and NAB certainly need disciplined, balanced and well educated in their respective fields. If NAB has hired army personnel, then its good because on key strategic and defence positions, an army officer is well informed. And civilians normally dont have education in strategic and defence studies because this is only adopted by a very few candidates for profession.

@ash 90; this is the first time you have said something that makes sense. You are spot on that civilians working in multinationals are more professional than those in uniform. The army guys who end up at major/Lt Colonel lack in the professionalism to make to the senior positions. It is because the military has usurped power for 34 years, for rest of the period the country experienced military-controlled democracy, these retired military guys sneak into the management positions in local private companies through references or for enticement for the owners that military guys would come for their rescue during crisis by former’s contacts in the government. Those retired guys with back use their sources to get absorbed in public sector organizations. At both places, they still fossilize their colonial thinking of despising the civilians and regard their new organization as their garrison. That is why you heard a tart response from the colonel the other day. You don’t see many retired military officers in multinational companies as these companies mind business.

In my previous posts, I really didn’t intend to offend you. I do not even know you, so I do not have any hard feelings for you. I am a straightforward woman and just spoke up how I saw you. I want you to correct your assumptive thinking patterns. Do not form opinions on assumption and guess. Now, forget me as your sister if you feel hurt. I am sure you won’t read my further posts on this thread.
