@Rao dear! don't you think you ll preferred over other candidates as you have already cleared CSS exam.Because they asked applications from CSS qualifiers too, see the advertisement.

Best wishes.
I don't think so because.... till now they don't know that i have cleared CSS...... as nothing was asked about it in Application form and Tests.....

They have include the provision in advertisement that candidate who have cleared CSS but was not allocated can also apply. But the word preference was not used anywhere.

That means you are a consistent performer in written tests. Wish you best of luck buddy for your career.

What is the use of writing "can apply" and its not the eligibility clause. If one is eligible then anyone can apply. If some one specific "can apply" then it means he should be preferred.

I hope you do get this job, brother! To have been able to appear in so many exams and clear them all is quite the feat.

I will be disappointed if they are making the merit list according to marks because I don`t think such written test should have been taken if they are to select so high level officers. According to my view, after such type of written, their focus must have been the psychological test. INSHA ALLAH we will get a call too.
I agree with your view. It wouldn't make any sense whatsoever to hire someone based on the written test alone. In my opinion (I had this opinion even before being called for the interview), NAB decided whether to recruit a particular person based on the psychological/personality test. Once that step was complete, they took the marks of the written test as well as the person's academic record and work experience into consideration in order to come to a decision. This method seems to be in line with the conditions published in NAB's advertisement.

Now I may be wrong about the whole process and NAB may have adopted an entirely different procedure!

2) NAB guys initially did not entertain her request because they had scheduled the things and there was probably no room for alteration in the program. Secondly, they accommodated an influential person against the principles.

Let us see it from this perspective. She could say, "initially NAB officials were unwilling to change their program to accommodate my interview, but I requested them through one of my relatives and ultimately they were kind enough to reschedule me on 1st November. I am so thankful to them for understanding my situation that I am unable to travel from the USA at such a short notice."

Now, when people with this kind of mindset are assigned with high profile corruption cases and considering the principles of justice on a popular slogan “innocent until proven guilty”, how do you think they would be treating the accused persons !!!
I am aware of how you must have felt and still feel, brother. I felt angry and frustrated, too. In fact, when I had first read her comment where she stated that she had used her influence, I was baffled and couldn't help wondering that how does one expect or hope to eradicate corruption from the country when one is making use of one's influential position to secure an interview date of one's choice in the department which is supposed to root out corruption. Quite the irony, don't you think?

Well, I found her way of telling us that she got NAB to change the interview date was nothing more but showing off her influence within NAB. I am sure you would agree with this!

Having stated the above, I still stand by what I said earlier that we don't have the whole story to reach a conclusion. The principle of "innocent until proven guilty" is a real headache for lawyers and non-lawyers alike but it's the only way through which we can determine whether a person is innocent or guilty. If her reason is genuine then her interview date should have been changed otherwise not... unless, we apply a stringent policy here that whatever the reason may be, if a person doesn't show up on the test/interview date communicated to him/her, he/she is out.

Something which I fail to understand is that if this lady was/is so influential to get her date changed, then she ought to have used her influence to find out when the interviews would begin in advance and then plan her schedule accordingly. I mean, you told us more than a week ago that interviews would begin from 19th October in Sindh. Someone else mentioned that interviews would begin some time before Eid... then why is it that this lady who claims to know a "highly influential person" in NAB didn't know about this? She should have known about this fifteen days or a month in advance! Moreover, she said that she applied for the post of Additional Director amongst others but she is ignorant of the fact that the interviews for that post are already done... something which you pointed out in your previous post, and I would definitely trust your word over hers. How did all of this escape not only her eye but her "highly influential" acquaintance's eye as well?

I dont know whats going on.Neither NAB nor NTS is sharing any info. For 60 posts of JIO, ADs & DDs interviews would be held on Friday and Saturday in sindh. This is what i have gathered so far. Only 7 (1 from Balochistan) candidates in this forum have confirmed that they have been called for interviews.I wonder what ratio per seat is NAB following so that they complete the procedure within 02 days!!
Any body from sindh who has recieved call/sms/email/letter today for interview, please share.

Default Why??

If everything goes fair then why NAB is not uploading the list of shortlisted candidates for interview. They have dispatched letters in hard copy, thy have been making calls to candidates, they are sending emais and even SMS and considering such vehicles of communication I really fail to understand that why they don't simply upload the list on concerned websites.

I got 60 in sindh Urban and didnt recieve the call though as per ash merit list only 6 candidates having sindh urban domicile have marks higher than me and there are 5 seats. I had also appeared in interview in 2007 after qualifying the written and psychological held be FPSC, recruitment on which was never made however.
I am surprised that what they are up to this time.
