surety bond is just a piece of paper, dont let it effect your decision, u can always leave nab, i havent ever seen any organization claiming surety amount, specially when there's no guarantor involved

hmm you are right, not that i mind 7 month training period, in fact i m looking forward to it, (in past i enjoyed my mto training period a lot)
but this 10-13k reduction in pay plus losing my very much due promotion is making it hard to decide ,
someone with same situation please tell me what to do,

for you, dont take it as relocation but as recreation, you ll get to know many people, make new friends plus training is the only tym one enjoys during his/her job

Default NAB Result and the dilemma for Successful Candidates

NAB, at last, has brought joy for the competitive candidates by selecting them as IOs; but it has also plunged them into a dilemma.
The issues like Surety Bond, Residence, and Salary will keep haunting all.

Surety Bond for 5 yrs means no aspirant of CSS could quit the NAB service if selected as CSP. So he is to compromise his career as a CSP. If he waits for 5yrs, then he may cross the minimum age limit of CSS.

The headache of lodging arrangement has been left for the candidate that too in an alien land for most of the selected IOs. Also expenses incurred on self-arrangement of boarding & lodging are to be borne by the IO himself with no immediate chance of reimbursement.

Salary package during the training is still obscure. Usually only basic pay is admissible during Pre-Service Training. No allowances are given. This leaves an IO with a very small amount to foot his/her bill for 7 months. For the new recruits, especially those who are supporting their family and children, it would be very difficult to make both ends meet. So joining NAB on one hand has brought joy, but simultaneously has put many IOs on the horns of dilemma.

I have contacted two NAB employees one DD and another is AD, but they're not really open to discuss salaries, I don't know why. But both acknowledged that you do get NAB allowance but no investigation / field allowance during training period but still I want to hear the same from others, if it is correct.

Previously, as per my information I thought field allowance was 20%, but this time DD said it's actually 50%.

Now, can anybody precisely confirm following things from their contacts:

1. How much is housing allowance for trainees for BPS-18?

2. Gross salary for BPS-18 during training?
