i also have done M.A ENGLISH from NUML LAHORE CAMPUS and waiting for the final semester's result.

any body have any idea about the written test and roll number slips ?

How should i start preparing in such a short time??? Please share any good books and past experiences.

Go through the same thread, Raz has eloquently defined every section.
The test paper has always been given on the same site so you may consult any GRE book in this aspect. You still have ample time for the preparation so start and wish you all the best.

In addition to normal preparation do collect some points on following topics to write arround 2 to 4 pages:
1) Current economic crisis "Global Recession and Pakistan Economy".
2) "SBP current Monetary Policy statement and liquidity crunch".
3) "Anti-Money Laundering / KYC and terrorist financing"

sir i m a bit coufuse, as u hve mentioned these topics for an essay type question whereas in the model paper given on the site of NTS for SBP test doesnt include such portion, it is complete MCQ type test

thanks waqar for sharing your experience all the way through. I've been shortlisted for SBOTP-15 and I am supposed to take the test on 26th April. I have some ambiguities. And I'm seeking your help on them:

1-I've seen the model paper and it seems that of a level of 8th grader. It's nothing compared to GRE or GMAT or even IBA's own standard of apptitude test. Let alone LUMS...Now reading through posts of those who have taken the test in the past, and unfortunately where not able to make it, it appears taht the model paper fails to give a fair idea of what the test is acutaly going to be?

2-Previously IBP used to hold the test but SBP has sought NTS this time. In your opinion, why did SBP sought NTS instead of IBP this year? was it because IBP's testing system was primarily based on banking jargons? espcially questions in GK and Current Affairs?

3- I tried to find out the scoring scheme of NTS but i didn't find anythign useful on their website. Do they have this aspect called -ve marking?? if yes, what's that.I would love to go for flukes in GK and CA if there is no -ve marking.

4-what's the minimum passing % of SBP for each section? do candidates with high % get the preference?

Hi...Model papers are provided just to give an idea about paper pattern and they can't be used to gauge the difficulty level of a test. So please don't under estimate the test and try to do your 100%.
As most of the public organizations are outsourcing the initial testing and screening to NTS may be that is why SBP is following the same lines.
I don't think there will be any negative marking because NTS don't do so in GAT or NAT tests but you never know so be ready for exceptions.
