As i told you earlier that Police act doesn't allow to recruit neither SI or DSP directly, but if the act is amended for either thing, the other thing is amended ipso facto.

However, let me confirm from my sources whether it has really been amended or not.

Punjab Police Order 2013 has been enforced in Punjab.Recruitment can be made at Constable,Sub Inspector and ASP.So There is no chance for direct DSPs in Punjab.

Constable's recruitment is not an issue as it was made directly hitherto, this is the most basic level in Police hierarchy, if this is not going to be made through direct recruitment, will there be contables through promotions? SI and DSP were the focal points of the summary moved to CM for approval, if the SIs are going to be recruited then definitely DSPs will be too because if the law has been amended to make possible the direct recruitment, then direct recruitment clause will also apply to DSPs.

Brother ASPs can never be recruited by PPSC, it belongs to PSP cadre which has to be filled through CSS, I think you mean to say that alongwith ASPs, SIs are also going to be recruited directly, but here we are discussing the direct recruitment of DSP and SI.....
