@bilal713

what are chances to bcome a part of banking sector for the ppl who have done final degree in Copmuter science or Information Technology,....................................... ..... i want to know that all the banks only need mangment ppl???

answer ll be highly apprieciated.

U can become part of banking sector b/c nearly every bank have separate division of IT but i dont think so u can join as MTO. As MTO means Management Trainee Officer so for MTO u should hav management back ground. MTO is U.S. job market terminology and in U.S. only MBA are hired as MTO in big firms.
Although ABL allow some other degree holders as MTO to increase competition but NBP hav strict criteria regarding MTO hiring. They select only MBA as MTO or Master in (Finance, General Management, Marketing Banking). For Management Trainee's HR they also give chance to those who hav done MPA.

U can join state Bank of Pakistan as they have open policy regarding degree. MBA, MCOM, MPA, Masters in (CS, Economic, Maths) can apply.

@ umair n Sajjad

U r right. HBL have largest branch network and NBP have Largest deposit Base.

I am not from IT back ground so cannot guide you much in this regard.
But up to my knowledge State bank have hired a full batch batch of IT proffesionals 7 Years back. Now they are inducting IT proffesionals in SBOTS and YPIP programmes. Normally in every batch 2-3 IT back ground proffesionlas are able to be part of state bank. So in SBOTS and YPIP you have open chance to get inducted if u r able to clear test and interviews. SBOTS and YPIP batches are usually inducted on yearly basis . They addvertise this on website as well as on newspapers. Next addvertisements of these jobs are expected in the start of 2011. u should keep visiting state bank website's jobs link in this regard.

In commercial banks i dont think so they hired IT people in batches. Mostly IT proffesionls got job on refferance base in banks.
In MCB TBO i think u have chance to get inducted on b.com base also. In Past some of my friends are inducted on B. Com base.
But i will suggest u to apply on every bank job, if they dont set criteria of MBA in thier addvertisement.
Again wish u good luck.

I hope that banks n multinationals wil accept ur degree for MTO programe. One of my batch mate hav MBIT degree in YPIP. According to my knowledge MBIT and MBA hav 80% similar subjects wit additional subjects of IT. So i thnk MBIT hav very good scope in Banking industry.

In Banking Test 80% to 90% Math questions are related to Profit, loss and elementary maths(F.Sc level). Most of it is covered in maths section ofupto-date Who is Who and What is What by Dogar Publishers. For english U should improve your Tenses and Words-meaning vocabulary. Buy any Inter level English Grammar and Composition book. GRE does not suit for banking Test specially for Maths section.

Dear Sister,
My sister was selected for TBO in 2007. That time her salary was 16000/=.
Lets tell U about her selection. My sister completed M.Sc satistics in 2007 and my brother also completed B.C.S in same year. Both applied for TBO bt my brother was not shortlisted because of background in Computer Science. After few months my brother applied in SBP bt on final stage after group discussion he dropped. Now he is in italy on HEC scholarship.
Now as TBO is concerned, their paper worth 100points. Paper was consisted of an essay on Democracy, General Knowledge and few Questions about math. I hope MBA should be shortlisted. Regards!

Thumbs up Tbo info

Hi,

I myself had not appeared in this test but i have some information about 4 of my colleagues who were selected as TBO, MCB.

One of them left during the training, and other three say that its really a very hectic job against which compensation of Rs.18000 isnt sufficient. if any one of you is interested in contacting my colleagues please donot hesitate to contact me.

i will not discourage anyone to apply for this position because the market conditions are such that if you are getting a job, donot think that whats the post, just think that you are lucky enough to get a job under such circumstances. believe me market is saturated and there is a hell of competition out there to beat up. increase your knowledge and apply for good jobs including TBOs. though its really a very operative type of a job with vouchers, remittances and all that public and old conventional stuff.

I just want to add to your knowledge that the most renouned area of any commercial bank is its treasury, thats an area that gives you fame and money both along with a lot of respect in the market. so try studying about treasury all of MBA's and BBA's .

hope i have not made you people bored of my talks hehehe ... i wish each and everyone of you a bright career whereever you go and serve ... do pray for me too ...

Regards
