Well, I think I replied to this query of yours in some other thread. Let me say it again, not every army officer is lucky enough to join Civil Services. Its not in your hands. I believe it has something to do with sifarish whereas those some people believe it has to do with your luck. You have to serve for three years before you are considered to serve bureaucracy.

Well, I agree with you.

Your post reminds me of an acquaintance who was 16th best in the whole academy (in fact before his fourth term, he was the topper and was supposed to get appointment of ASUO, though he ruined his fourth term and became BSUO). Now he holds a BCS degree and is one hell of a TECH-NO when it comes to IT. He told me that they dont get enough time for studies in academy (because of the hectic routine) so what happens is that they are taught 10 QUESTIONS (notice the term questions and not topics) in each terms and their teachers tell them that these 5 questions are important and they prepare only those 5 questions. Now should these people really be awarded a degree? That would be unjust to others who work hard in other universities to get the very degrees.

NUST has a repute but at the same time I believe UET, NED, LUMS and other universities are far better than NUST. Its just that NUST is being run by military so it has a market name, thats all. When it comes to PMA GCs being awarded degrees from NUST, I feel that will further degrade degree of NUST. I do not see any point of four years training other than awarding them a degree from NUST because PMA has already seen precedent of 4 year training programme once (when it inducted GCs having matriculation degrees) and everyone knows how they created hell in units. Enough said!

this is indeed injustice. army officers should b limited to army only.. atleast they spare civil bureaucracy from their shadow.. in pakistan army tries to rule in all domains... simply injustice with other candidates.....
or if not than atleast fpsc should measure them with same yardstick of selection as for others.. they shd also appear in written examination than interviews.

in april, i'll go for navy pn cadet ISSB. and my program is to join navy and then join Civil service. bcoz nothing is better than civil service for me. even job of 1 lac has no worth for me, the only worth if anything has for me is being Civil Servent of Pakistan, even if the pay is 5 thousand.

as per my knowledge
only those army officers can switch to civil services who are having five years of commissioned service. If a guy of a direct course is having five year of service he can apply through his Respective headquarter i.e GHQ ,AHQ, NHQ,,
regards

sir please read it to correct your information please..
Air Force and Naval can also join..they have their own separate quota in 1o% of armed forces..regards
