He said, "I don't know the way. Ask the old man sitting on the gate."

He said that he did not know the way and suggested to ask the old man sitting on the gate.

"Would you like to see over the house or are you more interested in the garden"? She asked me.
She asked me if I would like to see over the house or I was more interested in the garden.
He said that he didnt knew the way and suggested to ask the oldman sitting on the gate.
Dear the above one is correct.

She asked me if i would like to see over the house or if i was more intrested in garden.

I am also with your answer but I have just read in Raymond murphy`s book that we will not put much in positive sentences e.g: I like a lot of coffee.

It's a common sentence that I am much relaxed now "
What you r saying that we can,t use it with positive sentences, you are right but that rule is "positives adjectives"...like we can,t say "he is very much intelligent " we can use with the positive sentences but not with the positive adjectives.
