so we have seen that interrogative form in the first sentence changes into affirmative one in the second, we also omit the question mark in reporting a question.
If introductory verb is say in Direct speech, we change it into a verb of inquiry i-e ask, inquire, wonder etc.


If there is no interrogative word used in Direct speech, we use If or Whether

He said, "you are his son".Direct speech
He asked if/whether i was his son. Indirect speech

Though she came first yet she did not get the seat. (past scenario)
though she came first yet she is waiting for her turn. (present scenario)
am I right? and can we use the structure of no sooner,than in present tenses ? e.g: no sooner does the baby see me than he start crying. I hope you will reply soon.
