Extremism and militancy in our society-Its Causes And Remedies
1. Introduction 2. Meaning of Extremism and militancy 3. Islamic point of view 4. Extremism and militancy in pakistan Malala Yousafzai incident Joseph Colony revenge of the blasphemy Target killing Violence against Polio vaccination workers Lal Masjid crisis Murder of salman taseer Militancy in Swat 5-Causes of Extremism and militancy Social injustice Illiteracy Poverty And Unemployment Food Insecurity Madrassahs (through brainwashing) Growth of autonomous Jihadist organizations Misconception of Islam War on terror Soviet afghan war Failure of democracy Hypocritical role of west Inflexible role of state authorities 6. Repercussion of Extremism and militancy Whole Country is set ablaze Economic and political instability worsening law and order situation Fall in foreign direct investment Unrest and chaos in Country Deaths and injuries 7.Remedial measures Government should ensure justice and equality Mass illiteracy should be curtailed Mass media campaign Restoration of democracy Pakistani intelligence agencies should perform their role Restructuring of foreign policy 8.Conclusion A wave of surged violence, indiscriminate suicide attacks and deteriorating law and order situation demonstrate the severity of extremism and militancy in pakistan. It has become a formidable force in pakistan. Extremism is a mental illness in which a person not only consider himself right but also want to impose his beliefs on other by force. It is interlinked with militancy in which a person oppose others considering them against his interest and try to bring about political or social change, in extreme ways. The twin menace threatens to tear apart the country's social fabric and unity. Islam is not a religion of extremism. Wrong interpretation of Quran can mislead people. Spate suicide attacks, target killing, Lal masjid crisis,Malala yousafzai shooting attack and Murder of pakistani Governor Salman taseer are some of incidents that perspicuously show the potential severity of extremism and militancy in pakistan. The factors responsible for the rise of these twin menace are illiteracy, social injustice and failure of democracy. Some provocative events like war on terror and Lal masjid crisis added fuel to fire. During Soviet afghan war 1979, a militant struggle launched named as jihad. For this purpose madrassahs were opened that give training through brainwashing. These root causes make economy and politics unstable and law and order situation is deteriorating day by day. The whole country is wrapped into the cycle of violence and counter violence. The remedial measures needed to save our society from these twin menace. Government should maintain security and law and order. security forces should fight against violent extremism and its toxic creed. For sure, it will help to make peaceful society, free from violence. Democracy,equality and justice in society can act as vaccine for these infections and pakistan would come out of the ongoing crisis. |

Tips for qualifying Essay paper
I had no practice in essay for my CSS 2011 attempt, even i did not write a single essay prior to the examination. I had not good grip over grammar. I attempted essay on" Does Pakistani society regard women as angel or source of all evils in the society". I was not sure to qualify essay paper. Nevertheless when result was to be uploaded on FPSC website i asked from the operator on phone and was told that i could not qualify the written part CSS 2011. I was sure that the subject which i could not qualify must be Essay, but surprisingly i passed in essay but failed in composition.
To sum up my experience of Essay paper for the aspirants, i can conclude: -Essay is an art - Understanding a topic matters much. The examiner do not want a good English or good material but he wants you to understand the topic in few paragraphs. -Chose a topic which you think few people would be able to opt but this does not mean you choose a topic which is totally alien to you and resulting into diversion from your track. -Try to avoid writing 2 - 3 pages outline, just make your broad outline which can cover the materiel you are going to produce. - Do not use irrelevant things in order to expand your essay. - Do not go for pages(you can pass even writing 5 pages which cover all the dimensions of your topic. I hope these things will be beneficial for the aspirants. Regards Ashfaq Chandio |

[QUOTE=dms672;597193]@ Saqib Bangash
Thanks for checking out my attempt, I try to mention current happenings, the reality of our society due to Extremism and militancy in my introduction. However, I think there is no need to mention causes, suggestions in introduction. In simple words, our introduction must be good enough to support our topic and it must be to the point. As far as causes and suggestions are concerned, after introduction we will have to write down its causes, effects and suggestions. As per my assumption it is not a suitable thing to mention each and every thing in our introduction. As sir shakeel said that we must be concise in our introduction. I request you to mention your assumption of introduction. What is needed in our introduction, please let me know I will highly be thankful to you. Thanks again to check out my attempt in a detail, I will be looking forward to you for checking out my attempt in the upcoming essays. Thanks. Dear as you stated that our introduction should support the topic and thats true. To me introduction is just like a summary of an essay. It must contain all core ideas you are going to be writing a head. I am not saying that you should mention everything and every idea. not at all. but write atleast one opening statement about any idea just like other members are doing. For instance, someone just wants to see that what is your essay about. so he just needs to read your introduction and can easily predict that what ideas he will be reading ahead. but if there are lots of suggestions and causes then you can interlink them in one statement or ignore minor suggestions. |

• The world is in the grip of a global phenomenon known as terrorism that is resulting loss of property and innocent lives on a much greater scale than even natural calamities • Terrorism refers to use of arms and violence in a secretive and furtive manner to kill soft targets and indulge in acts that cause destruction of property. • Organizations that indulge in terrorism are banned by all governments but they survive because of moral and monetary support from some groups of people and countries • Extremism refers to political ideology that is in opposition to moderation or is at least against the norms of the society • However, there are some countries where local terrorists are today being referred to as extremists. What is the difference between a terrorist and a militant? These two words are often used interchangeably whereas it is usually considered as wrong to do so. However, a militant and a terrorist both have their own agendas and mostly, these agendas are political. The difference however lies in the means with which they hope to achieve their desired goal. Terrorists are thus named because of the fact that they utilize fear for attaining their desired goal. The way in which they instill fear in people or the state is by using armed violence, destructing public property, destroying and killing innocent people and thereby posing as a threat to human lives and the overall well-being of a country or a nation. Terrorists often choose civilians as their targets, thus drawing the attention of the authorities towards themselves while they also target government organizations for their attacks. Militants however, do not use physical violence. They are usually seen to be using verbal violence, taking extreme action to achieve a desired goal. Militants do not target civilians as terrorists do and they have no desire of instilling fear in people and gaining their objective through fear. Militants usually rebel against the state and the authorities with the aim of gaining liberation or independence. However, it is a commonly known fact that a militant will resolve to terrorism if he or she cannot gain his or her objectives through peaceful means. There is proof that most terrorists initiated their operations as militants, gradually making their way in to becoming fully fledged terrorists. It is said that most militants all over the world support terrorist groups with the aim of gaining their support in fulfilling their respective ambitions. Terrorism is regarded as an offense all over the world and is also looked down upon with much disdain. I hope it helps...

Terrorism is about when someone actually harms other lives/property by exploding stuff, or by using weapons. But extremism is entirely different approach. Extremism starts when you follow some one or society beliefs, ideology , norms at peak level. you would have seen the word "mayana rawi" equality in many haidth books, so going beyond this mayana rawi is called extremism. All other society people call us extremism because they think we are following our faith above the required level. Similarly if someone follows west culture at extreme , this is also called extremism. So it is concluded that extremism starts when you go above the moderate level in any society. |
