@ siaa
Its not happening. The rule of 16 years is not being implemented for css 2011 and even if it were, still LLBs could appear anytime. Chill

O-levels- straight A's(that's actually 3 years of education as opposed to matriculation which stands at 2), then A-Levels-straight A's again with a distinction at Law (which is universally and internationally considered equivalent to our plain B.A in Pakistan which is elucidated by the 'fact of entry requirement for LLB HONOURS in the external U.K llb program' ;which stands at 'either A-levels or B.A') and lastly LLB honors(which took 3 years, i'm wondering y didn't i fail a year and do it 4 .... ... ... so as per FPSC how many years of education do i actual qualify for again??? because we have this IBCC equivalence system here which equals matric to O-Levels, and inter to A-levels-- which is 12 years as opposed to global recognition of A-levels as 13 years of education ???? n globally honours is a degree equal to 16 years..... these folks in the FPSC can't possibly de-bar me from siting this attempt ??????? sorry for the lack of precision, m sleepy n i wrote as it came.... thnkxx don't be telling me now that i need to complete a masters first and then sit this exam again by 2013 as i can't be done with a masters before 2012 .... fingures crossed n awaiting an informed answer by someone who actually knows for sure n not just a 'tussulli jawab' ???

A-levels is equivalent to F.A/F.S.C in Pakistan and i think rightly so .. Though A-levels is much tougher than B.A but maturity is what is required and taken into account when they legislate for education in Pakistan .. So u don't have to wish to have failed a year to make it a 4 years degree .. U r perfectly posed to sit in CE-11 .. Best Of Luck .. P.S: I m also doing LLB Honors, London University program and got my 1st year result today with 1st class in Common Law & Reasoning .. Regards ..

A letter published in Dawn
I AM a candidate for CSS
examinations and facing the worst possible situation in my life in view of the reduction in the age limit. Pakistan is notorious for the policies of it rulers who are motivated by their vested interests. A example in this case is the issue of revisiting the age limit for appearing in CSS exams that was reduced mindlessly by the previous dictator to 28 years. Contrary to the issue of condition of graduation for contesting elections, which was struck down unanimously by our ruling elite, the issue of granting some age relief to the hundreds and thousands of affected candidates is getting no heed from our rulers. The efficiency of our rulers in protecting their personal interests is matchless while public interests do not seem their major concern. Had there been some son or nephew of our respected rulers facing this age constraint, the issue would have been solved in no time. Reduction in the age limit mainly affects middle-class students because they need more time to be able to compete with students coming from privileged educational systems. According to some press reports, granting of age relaxation for the forthcoming CSS exams is under consideration. I hope our rulers will spare some time for those talented young men and women who are facing the bottleneck of age restriction by removing it for good. Red Alert
@ witchdoctor n others,
with some excruciating pain in my heart I've to update u that I called again that section of FPSC today n the official there told me plainly that the proposal has been rejected (internally or externally no explanation) .he made it crystal clear that no change in age is expected anymore.so guys now concentrate on ur studies if u r eligible n if not then rejuvenate ur campaign to get relaxation by writing to not only the newspapers but by sending faxes to the Premier, President n chairman FPSC as well. this is the phone no of that section which is concerned with these matters.0519212317.please call at this no so that u may get some more useful info which I failed to obtain .I'm dejected n feeling myself in a cul-de-sac as it'd make 2011 my second n last attempt due to age barrier(sword).hope u people keep us posted in this connection.best wishes n best regards.

CSS exams
Dawn News article of 20-0-10
http://epaper.dawn.com/ArticleText.a...9_2010_006_007 THIS is apropos of the letter, “CSS exam age restriction” (Sept 11). I second the writer’s opinion that politicians and policy makers take prompt decisions when their own vested interests are involved but they do not consider the grievances of the common man. Middle class and under-privileged students have been demanding for an age relaxation in the CSS exam. The issue has been much highlighted through print media but all the broadcast has been falling on deaf ears and all efforts have gone down the drain with no positive outcome. I request the Prime Minister to take immediate notice of the issue and relax the upper age limit for the coming CSS exam. DR. AMIR ALI AHMED Peshawar
