Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, and unto God that which is God's
One thing, in the country like Pakistan, you cannot be certain as to who’s doing the job for assuage the ills of general public. Look, I’m also connected to the people in Pakistan. I’ve family out there. They’re also complaining about the system’s failure. Doesn’t your conscience prick you when you point your fingers toward the only one man when you know better that he’s not the alone? Zardari became the 13th or so president of Pakistan, what did the other 12 or 11 presidents done with the country? have you forgotten everything? How can you forget the storming of the same Supreme Court by the so-called incorruptible sharifs? I’m not up against anyone personally. Who will pay for such a humiliation? Didn’t the court then a representative of the poor of this country? If I agree to your comments that media always acts responsibly then let me endorse the views of western media, and even the locals one here I really cannot name. they unleash their propaganda against islam and the muslims across the board. Should I take them as they doing what was their ‘responsibility’? |

We respect and we demand freedom of speech but not the freedom of exploitation. They are going ultra virus.
Neem Hakeem khatra e jan. Our media is not mature enough to abide by the media ethics. No flattery at all, you deserved it. You have very well thought out approach. That approach works. |

Helloooooooo u completely missed the point my dear. Read my post again. The responsibilty of media is to present facts.Isnt it a fact that he squandered millions of our wealth. This is corruption which is making ur family complain of the system. doesnt media criticise Nawaz Sharif? Is it doing solely Zardari-bashing?
I do not belong to any of the parties.My point is that when u put ur hands in mud,dont complain of dirt. |

Let me just say that no one is perfect, but in the case of Pakistan no one is even an affordable politician (with some exceptions but they are past us and not with us anymore), let alone the leader of the nation. It is the job of the State (not the Govt alone which is the executive branch only) to provide for each and every grievance of its public in all modern welfare states. Media is called the fourth pillar not bcoz we need it but bcoz its role can be so crucial for the accountability and for the flow of information between the Government and the Governed. And, every sane person should be a realist and pragmatist. It is good to have an ideology but it is better to a real and pragmatic approach to follow that ideology. We, as a nation, are lacking the both.

@ Ayesha Ali
They complain because its the nature of every Pakistani, like the one you're complaining about Zardari. We don't give democracy enough time, honestly speaking. We are pendu peoples. We elect the same tested politicians again and again and then hope every time that they will fetch some good. God.... You know you're right, we should not find fault in the country's media. Most columnists wrongly opine that it is the politicians who failed Pakistan. No, I disagree; instead it we the people who failed our beloved country. Why don't we learn lesson from our neighbour? Why don't we learn lesson from 190+ countries of the world? Ohh my.... Leave everone; why don't we learn from our own past yaar? Kiya museebat hay? From the very fist day of the country since she came into existence (with Allah's blessings) Pakistan is in the Alice in the Wonderland situation. Why? Please don't say because of corruption of Zardari.

@Khanabadosh
My my,all i can guess is that u r a big supporter of the president I dont say that all our ills are because of him.What Im saying is that he is one of those who i want to see accountable for their misdeeds. If something is bad,people will definately call it bad.Secondly we Pakistanis r always repenting past,like u said lot has gone wrong with our country.AGREED.but if past mistakes cannot be corrected,should we not make corrections for our present and Future |
