When any member of police force is convicted by the court, unless he is pardoned by the soperior court, he is sure to loose his job after conviction. Waqar chohan will not be reinstated unless he is proved innocent and his punishment set aside by the superior court. He is proved guilty of misconduct and has been charged under police order 2002.

DPO Waqar Chohan was guilty of not doing prompt action on time. He reached on the spot but he did not order to arrest the culprits and also he did not take any action against those police officials who were responsible to control the situation. I salute judiciary which gives the message of "Rule of Law". Before the present judicial activism the courts were supposed to be irresponsible and supporters of bureaucrats and big guns. There is always a margin of improvement but to say that judiciary is creating differences between the institutions is totally wrong in fact some of the institutions are not following the judiciary's orders in its true sense.

In my opinion justice has not been served in true sense regarding this particular incident. This would have been an excellent decision in a society where there is rule of law in true sense but not in the one like ours. My native village is very near to that particular village where this incident took place, realistically speaking those boys Mughees and Muneeb were not innocent but looters/plunderers/killers. What villagers did with was absolutely wrong and an act of barbarism no doubt but we need to think what compelled them to do so, nothing but lack of belief in law. They were quite aware of incompetence of our law enforcement agencies and courts of laws thats why took this extreme step. It may look like a very good and according the law decision on papers but the reality is otherwise. The policemen including the DPO didn't performed their duties but in my opinion the court of law should also have taken into consideration the rage of the mob at that particular time. The principle of awarding strict punishments to make an example for society doesn't apply here at least in my opinion. If we want to stop the happening the incidents like this one then first we should provide access to timely justice to every citizen of Pakistan and then should punish harshly the culprits.

Decision is not fair
BECAUSE, Express News had already exposed both brothers as a Murderer and looters. Police found 1 T.T pistol and fake number plat from their bag. Furthermore, they were some witnesses who saw them killing a young boy and his uncle with their T.T pistol. According to Islamic Law, Four male witnesses required to declare death punishment to culprits. And there were four witness who recognize them as murderers. According to my analysis, Killings of both brother brutally was a justified action of the mob. Court should suspend their decision for 10 Innocent persons. |

I second you but for that you need to overhaul your whole system. How long is it gonna take? No one knows. Till then, if you dont set precedents for public, we'll keep witnessing such incidents of lynching. I hope I am clear. Quote:

FYI, the only reason of becoming Taliban so popular in SWAT and other tribal areas is by giving quick justice. Taliban gives punishment according to shriah and sooner than any court in this world. In my opinion, it was right decision by mob. These 10 people got punishment to death just to please Human Rights. |
