i am a chemical engineer. i didnot apply for turkish unis as their ranking is not that good. looking forward for south korean universities to make their admissions open for spring 2014, in october

do you mean they are offering admissions to pakistani students for fall semester. Even though the dates had passed...

You cannot say that Turkish Universities do not have good ranking
according to Times Higher Education Ranking METU and Bilkent University are among 201-225 while KOC is among 226-250.
Hanyang University has very high ranking i.e. 74 in the world while SKKU is among 201-225
Every person has his own preferences.
I believe Turkey is good for us as there are some resemblances of cultural values and also HILAL foods are easily available in Turkey while in Korean this will be the problem.

Dear Friends, regarding South Korea you have to keep in mind that the lectures are some time in Korean also(Hanyang University) because one of my friend is doing MS leading to PhD from there, and he told me we are now learning Korean.
(Regardless of the fact they say courses in English, but actually they speak Korean most of the time)
Regarding METU, I heard from one HEC Scholar that there is 100% english. All the courses are in english, and i.e why they require IELTS 6.5(Mandatory).

Before taking decision please confirm it from your seniors there.

We can not judge any University based on their current ranking only.

In 2011 Bilkent & METU were in top 150 Universities now in 225

Koc & Hanyang were even not in the list before 2012.

We dont know what will be their ranking after 3 or 5 years.

I think all the universities selected by HEC are good to study.

Dear i am a chemical engineer. and for me hanyang stands in 51-100 in chemical engineering world wide. and skku stands on 41. what else could one ask for as a chemical engineer?? n dear have u been awarded scholarship under HRDI-UESTP-2013 ??
