Dear Zahir and Noorahmad.......there is a lot of difference between 90% scholarship and Faculty developement scholarship for Engineering fields especially as faculty developement scholarship is only for engineering fields.......So this merit list do not represent the true picture for Faculty developement programe...
as i have quoted an example of my friend who's score was 72......if you take the picture of 90% scholarships cut off for electrical engineering for Punjab was 83 for 18 year education.....and he was not shortlisted for 90% but got selection in FDP UESTP...some other students who has less score than 72 were also selected...good luck

Yes youu are right dear Jahanzaib, if its like that thn its good for us bcz candidates with minimium GAT score can compete for this scholarship. when will they announce merit list? how many days they take to display merit list

Whole process means country allocation and final list of scholarship awarded studnts?

Dear noor how did you prepared for GAT general test. Which did you consult? did you take any coaching classes for its preparation? From where you have completed your MBA? Your specialization? Did you applied for cultural exchange scholarships also? I have been shortlisted for cultural exchange scholarship to china as Alternate Candidate. Which Scholarship is better? Or all scholarships are equally good. Your guidance is required in this matter.

You have asked bunch of questions in one post let me ans it one by one
= I had joined a coaching centre in 2007 at Jinnah Academy Khairpur Mirs in which Sir Ghulam Ali Arain was teaching us, now Sir is serving as Assistant Professor in Sukkur IBA. He is PhD from France, after that I started my university studies and never prepared for GAt during that period, after my MBA in Dec 2011, I appeared in GAt and with the blessings of Almighty Allah I managed to get good score. I referred GRE Big Book 7 days before test date.
=I have graduated from Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur Mirs, MBA Finance.
=Yes dear I was also alternate candidate in Cultural Exchange Scholarship.

= HEC Scholarships are far better than Cultural Scholarship, both in regards of Stipend and choice of countries. Education from China is not appreciated in Pakistan now a days but in future it will definitely be appreciated. So, both are good. Things is that we need an opportunity to go abroad for Higher studies which will be enough for us.

Great i am also from khairpurs mirs, UC manghanwari. These days I am living in Karachi and completed MBA from PAF-KIET. I think then you might also know Sir Rehman Gul Gilal at Shah Latif. He is also PhD from China. I will appear again for GAT general and hopefully could get some decent score.

one more thing I would like to ask that if someone get selected in HEC scholarship is there any job gaurentee for them. I mean to say that whether HEC will place us in universities as Assistant Professor in Pakistani Universities since they are also asking us to sign a bond.

Other thing is that whether cultural exchange scholarship also provide us the job placement after the completion of PhD. And what are the chances of alternate candidate in cultural exchange scholarship. My score was 68 and my merit number was 16 in Sindh Rural

In HEC scholarship there is surety of job after PhD.
Cultural Exchange do not give gurantee of job after studies completion, you have to get job on your own.
Insha Allah you will get good score. Improve your english skills for geting some decent score

Are these scholarships for those who are faculty members in some private or public university or anyone is eligible?

One more thing! As the title of the program implies that its for engineering and technology field but the subcategories mention many social studies fields like public Administration , Public Policy, Leadership etc. Please someone clarify on that too!
