What i have heard is that HEC will get option from you. No you will not be placed in Punjab only.

I have received a list of engineering candidiates from hanyang ... but ur name is not in that list ... either its not omama i guess ... or may be there are multiple lists .....

I have been selected by HEC UESTP to go to Koc University. I would like to thank all of you friends here for posting useful information here, which I have been referring to very often in the past few days.
I would like to remind all Koc Students to completely fill the link sent by Ms. Madiha Anwar from HEC and also email Ms. Elif at Koc (I know only about electrical department) the filled scanned copy of your filled admission letter before 22nd. I have met Mr. Jamshed personally and was told that for other HEC documents we can have few more days as well, without any issue (its better to inform him via email) but these two things are necessary to secure admission. Additionally, just submit the attested photocopies of Medical form to HEC and submit the original with Visa application to the embassy. The same could be done with the police clearance as well.

Yes its that way, a few people in my family have availed HEC scholarships and HEC just forwarded them various offer letters from different universities and ultimately they themselves got the jobs where they wanted. There is no compulsion from HEC in this regard. They just want us to serve the nation .

I inquired about this issue from HEC as well. HEC will provide us a stipend for two months and flight ticket before departure. The scholarship will start after two months in Turkey and that will most probably be through our university. So I suppose we just have to be there ourselves

I have seen several brothers who are applying to Chinese universities. I did my MS from China through CSC scholarship. In case anybody needs any information regarding any procedure, please do ask. I would like to be of help.

A couple of my friends got Chinese scholarships at less than 3 CGPA a couple of years back, I guess it depends on the uni you are applying in. If they are ok with it so is CSC. I am not sure if HEC will give it though, they sometimes mention it in their ads that they require at least 3?

Personally visit them and meet officials there, it's taken too long. They should give it to you in a couple of days as all they need to do is print it. Another reason might be that your documents have some issue and are pending explanation. A friend of mine had a minor problem with roll number and they silently wasted his three months until he visited and sorted the issue out.
