i have plan to call my family after going to turkey... in Jan or Feb 2014... and i also advice you to do the same. first go there and settle yourself then call ur family.... i got selected for KOC university Mechanical Engineering... whats your discipline?

I got Turkey visa from turkish embassy in islamabad.. they issued me visa same day with in 1 hour.... you only need medical report, passport with photocopy and a passport size picture and 6000 rupees with HEC award letter and KOC university offer letter. they asked for ticket reservation then i said i m HEC scholar and HEC will reserve my ticket. and showed them that it is written in award letter...

I just make a medical fittness certificate... signed & stamped by a govt doctor....
the format is like this
it is to certify that i have examine MS---------------- S/o ----------------- .
He is not suffering from any disability. HE is mentally & physically fit at the moment

this is good idea to complete the procedure before going to turkey... i dont know any detail of it as i forgot to ask from the embassy...
the ambassador told me when you go to turkey then you have to apply for Residence permit...
i think for dependent you must have residence permit and it will be a mandatory condition for dependent visa... but i am not sure...
if any one going for apply visa plz do ask this ....

And flights are not confirmed yet
Moat probably 1 or 2nd sept

How often hec scholar is allowed to return to Pakistan ? During semester break/vacations can he come back to spend his vacations here and before the start of the next semester he goes back to foreign ?

U can have one month paid leave in a calender year
Along with your provisional award letter I guess leave policy should also b sent by HEC
But ticket etc will be your own
HEC only pay once

does it means that if a person spends more than a month then hec will not issue stipend for next month ? yes the leave policy should have to be provided by hec
