That is, the commission had to get 156,000 papers checked and prepare their results. Suppose one examiner marks 150 papers on the average, still the commission will have to appoint as many as over 1000 examiners which is a mammoth undertaking by any standards.(Please note that these papers are not matric papers.) That is why I am always skeptical about the examiners' competency and proficiency in these exams.

Actually that is not the case,
For instance, essay paper is checked by a group of 5-6 examiners. Not more than that. The same case applies for css paper checkers

How on earth can 5-6 examiners check papers above 10k deservedly and accurately? Just skimming through them may require a considerable amount of time, not to mention digesting ideas put down on papers in order to analyze them for grading purposes.

Part of being an adult is accepting things which we don't like.

Failures are enraged as to why the same mcq's that have been asked 50,000 times before like "how long did Rashidun Caliphate last?" Or "Which year was MAO college established?" did not appear this time.

It was fair competition. The qualifiers gave the same paper in the same horrible conditions(loadshedding, broken chairs and stifling heat).

Sir this may seem quite shocking to you but that is the actual case. Commissions never hire more than 5 examiners. That is why the checking of essay exam raise alot of questions. Nevertheless, commission is the ultimate body, their rules

What will be the next step now that the result is announced and they have the merit list?

Totally agree. Anything between 25 to 50 for 1 seat is pretty rational policy. And please be realistic, we all know very well how papers are being checked . It is obviously impossible to check papers of 25 to 30 thousands candidates thoroughly. We can expect better marking with less number of papers.

And regarding candidates let me tell you my experience of CSS 2021. 4 out of 5 people I met at the centre were there to just get an experience of CSS. I seriously think that there should a screening test for CSS too.
