P.S.dont say that we bullied you.Yup you justified your status.
Here we have discussed that material.

Daisy and concerned,

I respect your valuable views and I don't have any intention to harm the feelings of anyone in any way. However, if both displeasing & harsh comments are core obstacles behind assisting other fellow members then I'm afraid we have lost teachings of Islam. A few evidences, I must share:

"Koi tumse bhalai ki umeed rakhe to use mayus mat karo, kyunki logon ki zaruraton ka tumse waabasta hona tum par ALLAH ki inayat hai."
Hazrat Ali [A.S]

"Insan ki izzat aur us se mohabbat karo, kyun k har insan ke andar khuda ki koi Na koi sift maujood Hoti hai."
Hazrat Ali [A.S]

"LOGOO ko USI tarha MAAF karo jaisay TUM KHUDA say UMEED rakhtay ho k wo TUMHAY MUAAF karega."
HAZRAT Ali[A.S]

I love this forum and keep on coming back to it every 2 to 3 months just to have a look around.

I can't tell what is the reason behind this forum not being as attractive as it used to be.Personally i have been busy in life. But i remember all those usernames and it is still putting a smile on my face remembering all of them as i write.I was an addict to this forum.

It is sad to see the forum not as alive as it used to be.But i can still see that the purpose is being served.I was so innocent and i liked Last Island so much oh my days i can't believe it.I was a lot naive too as compared to what i am now.I remember seniors talking sense and i knowing nothing sticking to my hard beliefs.i considered myself a little aalim too, lots of laughters. But i was not too bad too.

There were a lot of people back then always active.I hope moderators are not being strict to the point that members are no more comfortable.

Good days were those.

Ursula, Bilal Hassan made a generic post and so did Daisy. They did not pinpoint any user; and in my humble opinion, there was no need to take it personally. Bilal Hassan was derided by few users who took the story of his struggle with pinch of salt but he overlooked. Now, if all those users who actually bullied him, pop up in this thread and launch an invective, do you think he will respond?

One reason most of us just read and do not partake in discussions is because we know almost every second thing will lead to petty arguments that sap us of our vigour and may throw few important minutes down the drain. At a certain age, to many of us, peace becomes more important than being right. Let's begin to simplify things rather than making them more involved.

God bless you!

PS: No sarcasm intended.

Though I dont fall into the category for which this thread has been created but I will still take an advantage to share my thoughts as I have been the daily visitor of this forum. And I am also noticing the departure of active members including some of my favourites..

very well put. Another reason for leaving the forum at some point of life is, to take part constructively in forum one need to have a very thorough information about the topic under discussion, and, no one remains in touch with current affairs and syllabus updates all his life.
Moreover, as per the demands of this rather very formal forum made exclusively for css and few other exams, one has to spend a lot of mental energy in delivering apt information in a formal language, with out addition of slangs and urdu.
To put it breifly, the forum has a standard too high to come up to, eventually the busy seniors at one side, and, the hasty new arrivals who lack the determination to evolve gradually on the other side, are taking to less formal set ups.

The kind replies of a lot of prestigious members who have left is still pending

No offense but what you guys are doing right now is the practical demonstration of what Sir Bilal said trying to overwhelm him by numbers. Correct me if I am wrong in saying that he did not single out anyone as offenders. However, his post was followed but number of long posts that were deliberately targeted to counteracting or disparaging his benign concerns. Most of the seniors have been complaining on this thread is that juniors have lost respect for others opinion let alone qualified CSPs.

@demonstrative and fawadhash,
I don't know who the guys you really are to teach me the manners of some diplomatic and conventional standards of guided fantasy.
Well, have you gone through all the posts and cleared your throat before posting this bluff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If not than have a mercy on this.

I wish, may Allah bless me hidayat, which I desparatly needed right now.

So, you needn't not to be worried about me,(yeah ursula is saying this)since I know asking a question with healthy criticism is juxtapositioned to stupidity and hence I labelled as " HERETIC"
Don't worry its not first time, I am getting addicted of this!

Lastly, we are not terrorist but i wont tolerate that any person has an unquestionable authority to misguide the masses.
Note down: why I respect the iron lady, sir Raz, moneka, bubban Milan, man Qurrat ul ain and so many more(I wish I would have a direct convo with those good guys)
While in that case:
I hope you won't like to loose the objectivity.

Lastly,
@ demonstrative:
Its you naaa, who said " no sarcasm intended!!!!

TERRIBLY SORRY!
it must be
Neither sarcasm nor saccharides intended!
Now, I will inshallah consider your nice suggestion.

Well. I am not trying to teach anyone manners nor am I capable of that. Did you see any kind of advise or anything that indicated that I am trying to teach you etiquette. I didn't read all your posts but did read your first reply to Mr Bilal. Your post was a defense of a nonexistent attack. And I don't think pointing out this mistake is a mistake. After all, this is the forum where one can seek guidance from seniors, and I don't think anyone would be in favor of driving seniors away.

Let me tell you one more thing, Academies and many people here would tell you that writing your personal opinion backed by argument would fetch you good marks in CSS. I openly challenge that assertion. In CSS, there is only one kind of opinion that has the potential to resonate with every kind of checker. And I would rather write an opinion of a qualified CSP with 13th merit, than you. So, if there is any chance of someone misguiding the masses, its you, not a CSP officer. What matters is how your opinion is perceived by the checker. I know I haven't passed CSS. So, how can I tell this? I have been a member here for around 4 years. I have seen excellent people with excellent English failing this exam. @kingfalcon is an example of this. @kingfalcon sahab please correct me if I am wrong in having this impression that you failed despite having good opinion and english.

Exactly the reason why i along with countless others left. If we were not waiting for the 2015 result, honestly, I wouldn't have even bothered to waste my grey matter responding or engaging with anyone on this forum. To be frank, the current situation of this forum depicts the administrative prowess of the mods. Deleting posts, autocratic stances and whatnot have definitely led to a decrease in member contributions. Blame it on the selfishness of 2015 qualifiers or on the creator of facebook, whatever rocks your boat and helps you sleep at night...... I guess in our pursuit to excel we often tend to NOT view things on a holistic perspective, but rather on mundane shortsightedness. Truly it pains me to see the current situation of the forum. It is but painful to witness the certain demise of an institution that had been a significant part of at least MY life.
@ ursula, love i say this with complete respect and in order to help you achieve your goals in passing the css exam. Thesaurus say rattay na maaro. Learn where to use what word and abstain from verbosity. They will definitely fail you. Big words do tend to give a significant impact, but they need to be coupled with proper sentence structure and their place of usage needs to be defined.
As the end of our time is nigh, i hope that this prestigious forum does regain it's rightful position as the heir to the css throne. My wishes are for all of you preparing, and to those of you waiting.
Lastly, a shout out to last island, i do inderstand that maintaining and mediating such a forum, where the influx of input is mind boggling is definitely hard, if i can please let me give my 2 cents worth. Progress for the sake of progression ought to be curtailed and adequate use of power needs to defined and established. As the person to look "upto" on this forum, don't demean yourself by dealing with things with an iron fist and imposing your own views. I believe EVERY admin needs to know this. Rest assured last island, i hold your postion with great respect and awe. May you succeed in life and achieve what you aspire. No this is NOT laced with sarcasm, since we did have our ups and downs. Take care all of you. Keep the dream alive and keep up with its pursuit.

There is no complete freedom of expression in Pakistan, you may be penalised very strongly for expressing views that are deviant from the popular discourse and if those views have any western/liberal/secular/progressive connotations or even the bitter truth in them, then thats it. This is the sorry state of affairs of our beloved country, it pains me greatly but highlighting these things is the ultimate form of patriotism in my opinion. We hate waking up from a cosy bed in a cold morning, but it is important to wake up and face the world. Anyway, I am not an excellent person or good at English (just an average guy) but yes, I failed in English Essay and Islamiat, my aggregate marks were also below 50% (even if I had passed Essay and Islamiat).
