غلط فہمی کی مکڑی نے
بڑی سرعت سے اک جالا سا بُن ڈالا
محبت اس کے تاروں میں الجھ کر
ہاتھ پاؤں مار کر بچنے کی کوشش کررہی ہے
ایک مدت سے
وہ ذہنی کشمکش اور کرب
کے اس جال سے
نکلے بھی تو کیسے
وہ کوئی روشنی اپنے دریچوں سے ادھر آنے نہیں دیتا
ہوائے اعتبار و باہمی الفت کے جھونکوں کو
وہ شہرِ دل کی گلیوں میں گزرنے ہی نہیں دیتا
مرے جذبوں کا سچ
فہم و فراست کی فصیلوں سے
اترنے ہی نہیں دیتا
مگر ہر دن کی رو پہلی کرنے سے میں یہ کہتی ہوں
اسے گر ہوسکے تو اب حقیقت آشنا کردو
ذرا گھر کے اندھیروں میں لگے
ان شک کے جالوں میں
وفا کی ایک اس اجلی کرن کو کام کرنے دو
دریچے کھول دو دل کے

sileti shuayen
buland peron par gul machate
siyah kawon ki qafilon se ati hui hain
har ek janib khizan k qasid lapak rahe hain
har ek janib khizan ki awaz gunjati hai

har ek basti kashkash-e-marg-o-zindagi se nidhal hokar
musafiron ko pukarti hai k- ao
mujh ko khizan k bemahar
talKh ehsas se bachao

main muskarata hua aaeine maon ubhrunga
wo ro pare gy achanak seenghar karte hue

mujhe khabar thy ke ab lot kr na aonga
so tujhko yaaad kiye Dil pe waar karte hue

wo keh rahi thy samandar nhn hn ankhen hn
main un main doob gaya aetbaar karte hue

bhanwar jo mjh main parre hn wo main hi jaanta hon
tumhare hijir ke dariya ko paaaar karte huee

وقت کے طولِ المناک کے پروردہ ہیں
ایک تاریک ازل، نُورِ ابد سے خالی!

اپنی تہذیب کی پاکوبی کا حاصل پایا!

ہم محبت کے نہاں خانوں میں بسنے والے
اپنی پامالی کے افسانوں پہ ہنسنے والے
ہم سمجھتے ہیں نشانِ سرِ منزل پایا!
ہم محبت کے خرابوں کے مکیں
کُنجِ ماضی میں ہیں باراں زدہ طائر کی طرح آسودہ
اور کبھی فتنہ ناگاہ سے ڈر کر چونکیں
تورہیں سدّ نگاہ نیند کے بھاری پردے

ہم محبت کے خرابوں کے مکیں!
ایسے تاریک خرابے کہ جہاں
دُور سے تیز پلٹ جائیں ضیا کے آہُو
ایک، بس ایک، صدا گونجتی ہو
شبِ آلام کی ”یاہو! یاہو!“

ہم محبت کے خرابوں کے مکیں
ریگِ دیروز میں خوابوں کے شجر بوتے رہے
سایہ ناپید تھا، سائے کی تمنّا کے تلے سوتے رہے!
